Soo Kerr actually tried to use The Hammer play against Ham at the end of the game lol, the play that is basically named after him because he pioneered it as a player

Not saying it was the wrong play or anything, just found it funny & interesting

Steph is a once in a lifetime player and wasting his last years as one of the best players in the world really hurts. Without him we won’t be champions for a really long time.

I know it’s not over but can we realistically do something during the offseason to significantly improve our roster?

  3. if klay literally just didn’t play horribly we would’ve won

  4. sriracha82

Lonnie becoming MJ was extremely fitting for how this season’s gone. Hit the exact right themes, great callback to all the worst role player fake shooting Ls — scriptwriters in their bag for sure

I’m glad we’ve all watched it 20 times so we’re immune to it

I saw it happening and was like oh ok again? Sounds about right

I honestly didn’t like that Poole had such a short leash, only playing him 10 minutes was bad. I know he’s a terrible defender, but Lakers defense still respects Poole more than Moody, GP2, DDV and even Wiggins. Poole being on the floor gives us spacing on Offense. Also with Poole essentially not playing it forced Klay and Curry to play 40+ minutes and you could tell late in the 4th that their legs were gone on both sides of the ball.

Esssssshhhh.. tough one to lose. Comeback again at home and see what we got. Tweaks here and there. I’m not giving up on this season yet.

Why in hell did Kerr pull GP2 in the 4th??? What an idiot

This series could’ve been a lot closer if we don’t keep on shooting ourselves in the foot. Like in this game, klay made some dumb shit in crunch time, and then we committed a TO when we were trying to tie the game in the final seconds. The game prior, we were up 11 in the 2nd quarter with all the momentum, and then we started rushing shots and commiting TOs. In game 1, it’s arguable that the poole and the warriors could’ve gotten a better look rather than shooting a 3 to tie the game at basically half court. These are frustrating, especially when our team have the most playoff experienced core in the league. We should not be making these mistakes this frequently.

Watching last night’s game made me physically sick. Steph and Wiggs came out for Donte and JP in the 1st Q then proceeded to play the worst hoops I’ve ever seen in my life. Steph did everything but still lost because Lonnie Walker had 15 points in a quarter while Klay had 9 for the game.

The team has always prioritized IQ and defense around Steph throughout this run but I think it’s time to load up with better scorers. The Lakers have around 5 different guys you can run offense through other than LeBron (AD, Dlo, Dennis, AR and apparently Lonnie) while the Warriors don’t have a guy other than Steph who I’d trust to run a pick and roll.

Wait so all of a sudden curry rings doesn’t count since he had KD?

  11. Unrecognizedman

idk if they lose this series i feel like they will blow it up next season only steph is safe because they have to choose if they want to keep getting younger or win more championships with steph

  12. Prior-Rooster3232

steph is going to give a speech again?

  13. I just know if Poole gets traded to another team he’ll drop 100 every night, baddies or not

  14. Goodisworthfighting4

As long as Steph is on the team im not giving up. Nothing to lose at this point. Hopefully this was a wake up call to Klay and Dray about how much they need to step up. Warriors in 7.

  15. straight up trade klay and poole to china for jeremy lin and dwight howard

  16. PENGUINSflyGOOD

the only thing positive is the corgi memes.

I told my dad at the beginning of the series I thought the lakers had a better bench/deeper bench at the moment. I hate that I’ve been proven right. JP and dante have been disappointing all playoffs. It’s strange to me that kerr usually plays all his guys, but now isn’t giving lamb or kuminga any chance in games while playing jp heavy minutes. it’s hard to argue with a coach like kerr, i’m sure he has his reasons.

Let’s win game 5 and win one by one we got this. It’s a mental game

Warriors are now 1-6 against the Lakers since the trade deadline, anyone still think Lakers are an easier matchup than Kings?

there was a lot of false confidence coming into this series cause of our win against the Kings. The Kings were a flawed team with a non offensive threat, non shot blocking big in Sabonis that allowed us to get whatever we wanted at the rim. the fact we went to 7 with them and needed a 50 point Steph performance to beat them is an indictment the 22-23 GSW.

This simply isn’t the case with the Lakers, AD’s rim protection makes us a 1-dimensional offense and we live and die by the 3. As the series goes on and fatigue sets in, the 3 point shot not gonna be as consistent and it’s gonna be hard for us to win.

That’s exactly what we saw last 2 games, poor shooting from 3 which completely doomed us.

Series was lost when we lost Game 6 vs the Kings and had to play a well rested Lakers in Game 1 on 1 game rest, costing us our HCA. if we were able to defend Home court, we might had a shot. The fact we shot great from 3 in game 1 and still lost was a very bad harbinger of things to come.

the worst part is, things are lining up for this loss to be the worst way for Warriors to lose from Steph legacy perspective. Another loss vs Lebron is gonna be easy ammo for haters who claim Steph needed KD and couldn’t beat lebron without KD. the fact that KD and Harden are playing well is gonna energize their fans to attack Steph’s supposed lack of clutch.

If you want me to be honest this is what I thought was gonna happen last year against the Celtics in the Finals, that their length, especially Robert Williams would give us problems. The difference is that while Williams has a similar effect as AD does on defense, he can’t really punish us the same way AD does on offense, so we’re forced to play big and kill our offense or go small and kill our defense. AD also recovers much quicker so Poole and to a lesser extent Curry can’t really do anything at the rim.

AD is too unfair, no one with that level of shot blocking ability should be as fast as he is. I just hope if the Lakers win the title that AD gets the FMVP and not LeBron, that’d be a nice talking point to infuriate LeBron fans for the rest of their lives.

I really don’t know how the Warriors are gonna get a legit #2 to Steph. Does the organisation have the balls to move the max contracts, even if it means parting way with one or more pieces of the core?

If we run it back with the same main pieces of the roster I dunno if we can win a championship, the whole league is getting better and we’re getting older. Our players are who they are.

Expecting a different bench of vet mins to carry the scoring load is a big ask lmao.

  21. nilshoenson

I just hope the front office realises we have serious problems, regardless of the outcome in this series. They’re gonna have to be ruthless this summer and I kinda hope Steph starts pushing them a bit.

Guys like Kuminga, Poole and even Klay should not be untouchable if it means 30 gets another chance. Because let’s be honest, there is no ‘two timelines’. The only timeline is Steph’s prime.

  22. Finessing2

Warriors don’t win this year man I gotta see butler get a ring.

  23. TomatoBuster01

The biggest problem that these playoffs are showing us is the lack of a true 2nd/3rd option on offense besides depth. Wiggs is amazing but he’s not the Wiggs of last playoffs which is understandable. Klay is soooo inconsistent nowadays often making amateurish mistakes such as being baited into rip throughs. We mitigated that problem by being so fricking deep last year. Dray doesnt have that fire this series. Idk, it’s sad to see Steph supersaiayan-ing through the games then watch JP turn it over play after play
