All-Star Potential of the projected top 9

Wembanyama

10/10 – Can he play PF like Porzingis when he enters the NBA?

Scoot

9/10 – His 3pt pull up is crucial to becoming a star.

Brandon Miller

8.5/10 – Being able to keep up with SGs and SFs could speed up his development. Does not have the scoring to warrant Paul George comparisons.

Taylor Hendricks

7.5/10 – An upgraded Tari Eason

Amen Thompson

8/10 – Similar to Scoot, arguably the first pick if not for Wemby in the draft and he could 3ball. I question him being 6-7”. 44” if he and his bro could shoot 34% they would have been dropping 35 a night in that league. But big if, their form sucks.

Ausar Thompson

8/10 – Seems to have a better basketball IQ than Amen, slept on.

Anthony Black

6.5/10 – Do not see a good chance of him becoming an All-Star.

Gradey Dick

5/10 – Role player with potential to drop 10 a night.

Ryan Rupert

6/10 – Really good wingspan.

Did not think it was worth a top 10 list if that’s 9. Definitely a solid draft to have a top 4/5 pick. Expect a lot of teams really looking to trade picks after 5th in the lottery. Based off nbadraft.net mock.

Edit per request:

Cam Whitmore

7.25/10 – Jeremy Sochan has a higher chance of being an all-star (well, obviously). Would be a steal at 20, unlikely. Needs to study Tucker and Draymond.

Jarace Walker

8/10 – Have him in the top 6 for sure. Has all the tools. Just because he has higher potential to be an NBA star than Hendricks does not mean he is more ready for NBA minutes.

Amen, arguably first pick if he can shoot? He’s 20. Playing in a league with 16-20 kids who are less talent than NCAA. Meanwhile Wemby already playing against grown men when he was 15.

How are you going to say projected top 9 and not have Jarace Walker or Cam Whitmore?

Ryan Rupert and Gradey Dick above both of them? nbadraft.net must really suck
