Great choice, rivers is known for big rotations. This is a learning curve. Top 3 nba coach

Why he only has 1 coaching ttitle. Embiid was gassed in the 4th Game 4. Reed should be getting more than 6 minutes…

    I mean, no shit.

I will say I thought Doc put Embiid in too early last game. After Reed came in for like 2 minutes in the 2nd half, he went small with PJ at center for like 2 or 3 possessions, didn’t like what he saw, then put Embiid back in a lot earlier than he usually does.

Helps explain why Embiid looked so gassed against Horford in the 4Q (not to mention that the Celtics had been putting him in a ton of PnRs all game).

I guess that he didnt watch the Lakers game last night where Lonnie Walker IV came in with fresh legs and took over the 4th quarter. You have to be able to adjust.

Embiid looks a lot better on the court, but I really hope we don’t get 46 minutes out of him tonight. I’m not saying we need to go any deeper (although McDaniels and maybe House getting some run would be nice), but Paul Reed can’t play six minutes. We might get killed in the extra minutes he does play, but we also started to get killed last game when embiid was clearly gassed.

rivers drives me insane all the time but this is just the playoffs.

i mean hell in the lakers game yesterday lebron checked out and didn’t even make it back to the bench before he went back in. at some point you gotta play your best players and hope they make plays, because tired mvps are better than fresh 5th guys off the bench.

Absolutely stupid move. Sometimes random joes get hot and become lethal. Just give them a minute or two and see. It’s not like our bench are complete bums. They’ve won plenty enough games this season without our stars.

Fucking Lonnie Walker IV came in out of nowhere for the Lakers and iced the game out against the Warriors last night when Dlo wasn’t doing shit. Just like how JaMychal Green did the warriors in their win or Landry Shamet for the fucking suns.

  8. Here’s my issue. Between Niang, Shake and House…1 of those guys can get hot. Going to a set in stone pecking order, means we’re only going to have the option of Niang getting hot, which is literally hit or miss.

We shipped Matisse because he wasn’t improving on offense. We brought in McDaniels, who everyone agrees is a great defender and better option offensively.

So by not playing him…we essentially moved Matisse in order to get Niang more minutes…?

I will never understand the set in stone predetermined rotations/minutes. IMO great coaches have a feel for their players and the game. They make adjustments as needed, in real time.

Glenn needs an entire offseason to make changes

In other words “expect Joel to be gassed by the middle of the 3rd tonight”

  10. Free Shake. They need another playmaker because that is not the skillset that Melton and Maxey contain.

Need Maxey and Tobias to score buckets tonight.

I want the playmaker Harden tonight, and want the foul merchant Embiid tonight.

It’s not time for SHAKE??? Says a too-high number of sports radio callers.
