The most intriguing and arguably the best fit among prospects slated to go around the 7th pick is Ausar Thompson. I know it’s tough to draft another prospect with suspect shooting in the lottery but Ausar could be worth it. He's improved every year since high school:
Ausar shot 23.6% (31g, 72 shots) from 3 and 65% FT (115 fta) in his first OTE season. In his 2nd OTE season, he shot 33% from 3 (21g, 99 shots) and 70% FTs (90 fta).
We probably won't get another top 10 pick for a long time so we should take a home run swing with our pick and then draft a shooter with the Bulls pick.

You anticipated the main problem correctly. We need defense and 3-point shooting. He can't shoot the 3. We already have decent upside developing talent on the team. That being said, I wouldn't complain if he's taken with a low(er) first round pick.
We need a REAL SHOOTER!!! that is all we need. Trade JI, Houstan and Chuma for a reliable bonafide shooter, a TMac like player. A Bogdanović shooter. Also a better coach but this office will keep Mosley with his ridiculous rotations, he is not holding anyone accountable. we do not need more young guys we have a very young roster already.

I'm not sure about the Thompson twins and the level of competition in OTE, but workouts and interviews could answer some of those questions.
If not Ausar, I like Anthony Black at that 6 to 9 pick.
