Also, how the heck can you blame this game on the defense more than the offense?? Every other Celtics loss in this PLAYOFFS, I agree those have been on the defense but this game was a little more the offense fault. Just look how lost they look on the offense too.
Boston playing like 🤡s no more room for error
They’re just not that good John. There’s not going to be a game 6. They don’t play impactful defense. They don’t grind wins. They are missing on-court leadership.
Those are major differences from last season. They’re also playing a much more desperate opponent. PHI is playing for their future. They’re locked in. BOS is not going match that level when PHI is one win away from something they need.
Changes are coming this off-season. Team needs 1 of their top 3 scorers to be a leader. Ime acted in that role last season from the sideline verbally. It needs to come from a player.
I don't know why Rob Williams is playing so little. If the Celtics lose this series I think we will see some big roster changes.
Saw the post game interview with Tatum and I did not like the body language. I wish we would see a pissed Tatum, be angry you just got out worked on your home floor. Instead he looks almost nervous. Idk man, imma need a game 6 vs the Bucks type of performance from him in this next one
I am laughing at people who are saying they expect a win in game 6 JUST because they were in a similar situation last season. You guys do know that the 2nd half of last regular season was the complete opposite of this regular season right? This is just sad how so many people are so delusional.

They beat the Bucks while they were down last year. Embid and Harden choked in many playoff games. I'm not a celtics fan, but I'm still picking them to win.

Man, it's not just the Defense. Our Offense was a half-step behind THEIR DEFENSE the whole game. Zero effort or passion exhibited from just about everyone in green. Beyond tired of that. Joe was as lost at sea as his team, rowing a boat with a hole in the hull and a broken paddle. Like many of us fans and even, it would seem, the team itself we just kind of have to expect it that these guys go Zombie Mode at any given moment and just slough it off like oh well good team well-coached blah blah blah. Joe needs to learn how to get mad and bench guys when they SUCK. So depressing for what I'd consider to be the best team in the league to look like such trash — so often. That's not the Celtics' Way. Not the Celtics I know/have known/used to know. 🤬 #breathe

Trade Tatum, give JB everything he wants until you can land an actual superstar. The Tatum regular season "superstar," worst player on the team at minimum 2 games every playoff series will never win a championship.

Two points I'd love for Karalis (above average) to touch on:
1) what's behind the C's abysmal home playoff record? They've lost 9 of their last 16 home playoff games. Really unfathomable for a title contender despite their fantastic road record. What could possibly be the reason for this?
2) how much has the coaching turnover hurt them. Joe M is 3rd coach in the last 3 years. Udoke focused on defense, Joe more of an offensive guy. I'm not blaming Joe here. Once the decision was made to move on from Udoka there were no good options: outsider? Brad? Another assistant coach? Udoka had such a huge influence during their run last year I think the team has no rudder, no identity. It's no one's fault. It's just a bummer because I'm 100% sure if they ran it back this year with Ime this team would be getting fitted for rings in a few weeks.
Celtics are done
Celtics players and the Celtics media came into this series with WAY too much confidence. You need to respect your opponent to get the best out of your team. The Celtics are an incredible team and Sixers knew that so we playing with more effort. Series not over yet but hopefully Embiid and the boys will finish business on Thursday!
