I’d rather have Brown than George. Why bring the Clippers into it?

you’re replacing one really overpaid, oft-injured star for another overpaid, oft-injured star. And Derrick White is a system guy who will not offer much outside of his role in Boston.
In a vacuum, I’d rather have PG but this deal does nothing to improve our margins. If we get of the Beal contract, I want a collection of decent young talent plus draft picks. We’ll have to take on a bad contract or two to make numbers work, but if it’s an expiring within next year or the following, it’s worth it.

Why would the celtics do this?

Celtics and Wizards hang up the phone on you right away. Then they 3-way in with the Clippers who then click back over on you to say “oh I thought you were kidding, lol” and then the Clippers hang up on you too.

The Wizards shouldn’t be making any trades where we don’t get younger. Getting PG 8 years ago would’ve been heaven sent with John and Brad.
If you trade Brad, young guys and picks. Not an aging star and a role player.
