Actually watched it. The analysis seemed mostly ok, but all it shows is the importance for the Lakers to find a counter to AD being pulled out of the paint on defence. Lakers had no problems with it game 1 or 3, so I don’t believe it’s an unsolvable problem. The take that Lakers “aren’t built” to beat the Warriors is weird – the Warriors just managed to find a strong adjustment for 2 games and 1 quarter. That’s what playoff basketball is about.
Not buying that their screens are legal. The argument is weak. He’s basically saying it’s fine to block someone’s path as long as you only part block it giving enough time for the other player to run around. I can see how you could read that from the rule description. But a moving screen like that is *way* more effective than a static screen (you effectively get to block a considerably wider path). There is zero chance only the Warriors would be doing it if it were permitted to other teams outside of the Warriors arena.
