Wow did I ever suck. Players who thrive in the playoffs how it affects who Utah Jazz acquire

David Locke, radio voice of the Utah Jazz and Jazz NBA Insider, admits to be truly terrible on the previous show. Thanks to the great listeners and Everydayers who caught the mistakes and pointed them out. You guys rock.

Today, Locke revisits the extensions and the draft board from yesterday’s show. Then looks the what NBA playoff players have thrived and what it tells about acquiring talent for the upcoming Jazz seasons.

Are we on the verge of a center match-up for the ages with Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic in the finals. It would be the last great center matchup since Hakeem v. Shaq or Hakeem v. Patrick Ewing. Would it be the first time we had #1 and #2 in the MVP voting in the Finals and would it be the first time they player the same position. Are we into the Center lead 3 point era?

  1. Randle to Jazz in salary dump? Knicks use space to bring in free agent. Does Randle/Finnisher/Kessler front line work? Thoughts?

  2. Malone was 1st in MVP and MJ was 2nd (1997 Finals)
Malone was 2nd in MVP and MJ was 1st (1998 Finals)
    Hakeem vs Shaq (1995 Finals)
    Hakeen vs Ewing (1994 Finals)
MJ was 1st in MVP and Clyde was 2nd (1992 Finals) – in same position.
    Oh the 90s…

  3. I believe we’d have to allow Lauri to enter unrestricted FA in order to give him max money, so I hope he doesn’t leave like Hayward did. Ainge needs to bring the brinks trucks rolling come extension time

  4. I thought Boston's offense was stagnant!! It was simply pass the ball to Tatum or Brown and have them try to score without turning the ball over. Philly had a better idea of what they wanted to do. There were more options, even if their endgame was to get the ball to Embiid.
