Its a Popularity award and We Know the Media doesnt like the Grizzlies and Ja Morants off court issues came into play but its based on Opinions at the end of the day not based on stats

Ja is a inconsistent shooter. His shot style will never make him an elite shooter. Numbers don't lie. Look at his career stats FG% 47.2, 3pt% 30.7, FT% 75.3. Lets get real, you can't be all NBA with those numbers man! And Ja always tries to redeem himself. Problem is his redemption makes him try too hard. You say hard on what? He will try to dunk on everyone in the league and injure himself. Problem with Grizz are 3 fold. Ja tries to dunk over people and injuring himself, JJJ is in foul trouble, Brookes takes bad shots. That is recipe for disaster. What do these players have in common? They are volatile. Add in a spice of immaturity and this is what happend this year. Grizz went from the top of the NBA to the laughing stock of the NBA. What a roller coaster this year it has been. Not surprised Ja didn't get all nba after his gun incident. He lucky he back in the league actually. If he was not an exciting player, he would not have received the admiration. Look at Tray Young. Guy can't jump, but he can really ball. And people hate Tray cause of his antics. But you get a better shooter.

Think we might need to go all in on Jaylen Brown. Celtics aint paying him and Tatum 600mil. I think they have to sign and trade him. I would package, Brooks, Adams, Clarke, Tyus, & every draft pick we got over the next 3 years to make that move wether its straight up or a 3 team trade.Hell I would start Tillman with JJJ, Brown, Bane, & Ja. Bring Kennard, Santi, Lofton off the bench. Use MLE for Jordan Clarkson and we good to go.
I think Taylor Jenkins didn't get Coach of the Year considerations because of the JA drama. I think that he was looked upon as being complicit in allowing Ja to keep making bad decisions until the CO gun and suspension incident.
