    Paraphrased notes from Grange’s appearance:

    On JJ Redick:
    >He was surprised when he heard his name

    >Brings up Steve Nash in Brooklyn as a similar comparison

    >He’s said that Redick has been open to coaching for a while

    >He doesn’t have doubt that Redick could be an exceptional head coach

    >Coaching is a grind, and Grange would say that he’d be more comfortable with someone that’s been an assistant before

    >You’d be taking a risk with him

    On Dwane Casey:
    >Grange doesn’t think Casey will be in the front running for the job, his understanding is he looked at the situation in Toronto as was along the lines of: “why not me”

    >He’d be surprised if the Raptors go with an already established NBA head coach

    On Becky Hammon
    >She’s a candidate, she’s in the running

    >Mentions she was a leader during her playing days

    >Benefit of his tenure on the Spurs coaching staff

    On the overall coaching search
    >It won’t be done before the combine (next week)

    >He’d look for it to be completed around the end of the month or so

    On Nurse
    >He’s waiting to see if any other spots open up (Brings up his relationship with Morey)

    >Nurse wouldn’t be a candidate that’s competing with say 5 other people, he’d be a guy the organization would want to bring on

    On Siakam’s extension possibility
    >Only way that he would’ve been offered a supermax is if he was MVP candidate and they made a conference final

    >You’re either making one of two decisions: trading the player or making a reasonable extension

    >Grange thinks we’ll see one of those 2 occur this offseason

    General news
    >Could be a busy summer for the Raptors

    >The one thing he keeps hearing/getting an impression of over and over again is that they’re no real appetite for a rebuild, if you’re not doing that, you’ll have to be real crafty

    >Hard to imagine the coach is the only change, but if you’re making those changes and trying to improve it’s real tricky

    >Anyone you’re trading are by definition things the roster doesn’t have much of themselves

    >If you want to do a trade that doesn’t involve futures, hard to get better

    >It’s on both front office and ownership, there’s a belief that this group has the potential to being something good, there’s a recognition they need more, way to get more talent is to add it vs splintering it and trying again (The first part is something both Grange and Will Lou don’t think is possible, and have a discussion afterwards that there isn’t enough talent on the roster)
