Notes From Released Voting

With the release of the official ballots ([Voting results: 2022-23 NBA regular-season awards – NBA.com: NBA Communications](https://pr.nba.com/voting-results-2022-23-nba-regular-season-awards/)), I’ve looked through them and made some notes on where some of our players received votes. Very surprised to see some of the votes we got and didn’t get. Remember this is all just a game and these are just opinions of people, so nothing to take too seriously. No hate should be directed towards any of these journalists. I was expecting the Ringer and the Athletic writers to be pretty low on the Grizzlies players this year, but there’s really no trend.

**Surprising Inclusions:**

Voters who included Ja Morant on their MVP ballot: Stephanie Ready (Warner)

Voters who included Jaren Jackson Jr. on their Most Improved ballot: Jeff Zillgitt (USA Today)

Voters who included Taylor Jenkins on their COTY ballot: Jovan Buha (Athletic), Damichael Cole (Commercial Appeal), Joe Vardon (Athletic)

Voters who included Tyus Jones on their 6th Man ballot: Tim Bontemps (ESPN), Anthony Chiang (Miami Herald), Madeline Kenney (Bay Area News), Andy Larsen (Salt Lake Tribune), Jeff McDonald (San Antonio News), Rachel Nichols (Showtime), Omari Sankofa (Detroit Press), Ramona Shelbourne (ESPN)

As for All-NBA 24 people had Ja Morant on their ballot and 9 had Jaren Jackson Jr.
