They want to trade one of the best shooting bigs in the league to get more spacing around Anthony Edwards? I’m not buying it. I don’t doubt that they would want to move KAT, but that seems like a silly reason.

I’m fine if we’re buying low enough. KAT + Dame would be an insane pick n roll combo. But I don’t want to pay that much for him considering the defensive shortcomings and the questionable motor.

I 100% would do Ant + the NY pick + any of the GS 2nd round picks for Townes. His offense is great and his defense isn’t nearly as bad as people think; his DWS is between 1.1 – 3.2 depending on the year. The 3.x years are as good as Nurk, with a much bigger OWS upside. We also need to resolve the logjam at guard, and this is probably the best player we can get in an Ant trade.

KAT would be infinitely better than Nurk from the few games I saw last season. I’m mostly a raptors fan, but isn’t he about the same defensively while actually being able to shoot? Anything that could give a guard like Dame better spacing at this point in his career sounds worth a shot, especially if you guys are still gonna be developing Sharpe.
