If Lebron ever suggests this, Rob needs to ignore it.

  2. coffeework42

Lebron ‘d turn into kyle korver if this happened w/o same success with 3s tho.

Why? I hope CP dont come. It’s worse than Westbrook

  3. JohnnySuuji5

I wouldn’t mind Chris Paul coming off the bench on a mid contract.

  4. Large-Nature-9087

The only way this happens is on a minimum contract so I like the thought of that

  5. drakeftmeyers

I didn’t want prime CP so I def don’t want nursing home CP.

  6. Nijee302

Lebron better not even think about it or convince Rob to do it

  7. GloryMaelstrom21

Wtf!!! It’s 12 years too late.

  8. Zenithreg

People in this sub who bitch about AD injuries have no idea what is in store when it comes to CP3.

  9. Wazflame

how much? a veteran on a minimum to come off the bench with no expectations of heavy minutes? I’m not entirely opposed

  10. jeremy_thegent

If only this happened 12 years ago…

  11. Zyvvrjkl

minimum for sure, else no. 2.5m/year as back up pg for regular and starting when playoffs comes.

  12. ryanlinr2

There’s only one 38 yo player we need and he’s already on our team.

  13. redbrick

I think he’s still a positive player, and actually a pretty good fit with our team in a Rondo-esque role.

But he cannot be relied on to play significant minutes from a health standpoint. He’s basically guaranteed to miss at least a quarter of the regular season, and probably a lot of the postseason too.

  14. rrarrarra21

As a minimum contract with a very solid PG off the bench (CP3 playoff insurance)

  15. jacobusjoojitsoo

Nah, fuck that. Let AR grow as the second ball handler. D lo starts, but plays with bench crew a lot and gets to cook. Rui off bench for one more year. Sign a big man to spell AD through regular season. Wait until next trade dead line to see how the youngsters develop, then make some decisions like bringing in old dudes with egos.

  16. Granpa2021

Lol wut? We don’t need not want Chris Paul.

  17. markmyredd

Vet minimum I will take it. He will be a fantastic rotation guy at least on the regular season

  18. elsavador3

Come on a minimum if you don’t want to retire ringless

  19. WeCantBothBeMe

This summer? More like a trade deadline buyout. If the lakers lose Dennis I wouldn’t at all be opposed to CP3 as the backup PG. I know LeBron would be all for it too.

  20. ctsturup

I feel like somehow we just morally need to bring CP3 in on a vet min for his last season.

We must correct the universe for Stern’s bullshit

  21. i_know_nothingg101

I thought he wanted to link up with Dwight in Taiwan?

  22. DevoooDaDemon

    No no fucking no

We need more productive big men, especially when it comes to rebounding

  23. ALovelyAnxiety

    LOL please say cap.

Im sure CP3 could shot the 3 ball better than WB and run the offense well but… we have reaves and DLO. F that. Sorry Lebron I know you want your banana boat crew to have a ring but its not happening.

  24. CooperHouseDeals

Am I missing something, didn’t the Suns get destroyed in the playoffs. Why not find players that are winners. Plus, he is a “know it all”.

  25. CooperHouseDeals

Ok. Cp3 vs Kyrie. I’m still thinking Kyrie wants to play with LeBron, and he is available

  26. trufflepasta

I would honestly love CP playing with the Lakers.. D’Lo doesn’t show up and CP3 always makes the right decisions. It would be like having Rondo in 2020, but better.

  27. heshouldgo

I mean if he came on a minimum then sure why not

  28. BrainEuphoria

If CP3 works out a deal to leave the Suns and joins the lakers on $8m/year or less then why not. Or if we give the Suns what they need: TT for CP3

  29. lkarma1

I’m interested in returning the majority of the current roster.

I think Beasley, Thompson could be let go / traded for assets. I think we can develop Brown more and keep him.

  30. ilovepapamarin

Only on the vet minimum. He comes off the bench. And only plays 10-12 minutes a game.

  31. wdavis2000

We hated Rondo until he came here and won us a chip – CP3 is better than Rajon and would fit well (on a min contract, to be clear)

  32. Nomad_No3

I was thinking I’m okay if it’s a vet minimum and he is just our Jared Dudley… but fuck no, even then.

  33. Jaysmith120

May as well bring back Melo and Dwade too

  34. colombo1326

No thank you. We got Russel much younger, healthier and less problematic

  35. mac_128

I’d rather keep Schroder. Don’t fix what isn’t broken.

  36. symphonic9000

Yeah right, CP3 is a traditionalist, he loves getting hurt in the post season, and the lakers have zero room if we’re keeping Dlo and Reaves, which would be a disaster not to. I’d rather keep Dennis than “land” cp3
