Source: Apparently Draymond Green punched Jordan Poole before the season because Jordan Poole wasn’t listening to, and was being disrespectful to Steve Kerr. He said there is more involved than that but that that’s the immediate reason Draymond responded the way he did.

Seems far fetched personally. Perhaps that might have started a fight Draymond was itching for.

  2. ThisIsDumbLmao

Draymond pretending he’s the good guy in a story where he sucker punched a teammate is peak draymond lmao

  3. MrDozens

1 year and this is the best excuse you can come up with? This excuse doesnt deserve a punch to the face.

  4. TraditionHuman

I mean this could be real AND Draymond still shouldn’t have punched JP. A good talk would have been enough, no punches needed to be thrown.

  5. MadWalrus

Sees teammate being immature -> immediately does the mature thing of punching him in the face.

You’re a grown ass man with kids – JP is practically a college student. Come on!

  6. poplockanddropit21

The punch was full of pent-up anger. Plus, draymond ran KD out of town when his own extension was in talks. Same shit happened again. Draymond is a repeat offender.

  7. bayelrey888

Well, Draymond was wrong for punching him. But if true, this doesn’t make Poole look good either especially after his regression this season and complaining about his opportunities, etc.

  8. Excellent-Deal-4726

Not going to believe anything until either one of them involved comes out and says something

Was Kerr even anywhere near the practice court when that happened, to be “disrespected” or blown off by Poole?

  10. Wassup_-_

I dont give a shir bout that ,you dont punch a dude like that

  11. PhillipMcKrak

Ryan Hensley is not a source. He’s a Twitter blogger

  12. DefinitionDry1490

Doubt he’d get paid if he was being that disrespectful to Kerr. At least I’d like to think so.

  13. frugalgambino

Draymond falcon punched his teammate and then produced a TNT documentary about it on opening night. He is in the complete wrong

  14. Limon-Pepino

Honestly who cares. It’s been a year since a dude punched another dude. I’m just here to watch them play.

  15. by_yes_i_mean_no

Poole disrespecting Kerr before he got paid seems pretty risky, I don’t know if that adds up

  16. Swaggletooth789

Winning the title last year was the worst thing that could have happened to Jordan Poole from a player development standpoint

Made him believe he was a superstar and clearly did not work to improve his game in the offseason despite being handed a nice contract

He’s totally lost any chip on his shoulder from being a late draft pick

  17. mommadotco15

Poole talks the talk. When dealing with media, the times he’s willing to participate, he’s been a consummate professional. Never fueling the flames in interviews, and giving Curry-like PC responses when it comes to the team.

On the court and bench… this dude was about himself 95% of the time. Standing up right playing ole defense. ZERO effort, like a disrespectful lack of effort to show no fight and mental concentration per play. I used to think Ja was all about the Instagram highlights in his game, with his flashy playstyle, but actually he might be significantly more composed of a player than Poole. JP might honestly be the definition of a social media hooper, exerting energy only in the movements that don’t get clipped out of a post/story. Like win the fucking game brother what are you doing

    He’s ready to go…somewhere else

  18. Chopped_In_Half

Steve Kerr does not need a goon to beat up players that disrespect him. This may very well be true, but it no way justifies what Draymond did.

  19. unfairomnivore

This doesn’t make sense. If Poole was acting this way why did we extend him shortly thereafter?

  20. spicyclams

And here we go. Going to be a longgggg offseason.

  21. AnyAdvertising7623

Conflict between Kerr and JP explains much.

  22. couchtomato62

That’s not f****** good enough. Nobody has been more disrespectful to Steve Kerr then Draymond Green. Shouting matches. And even his freaking podcast where he said in the Oklahoma City halftime that if Steve has said one more thing to him he was going to hit him number two he got on his podcast with Kevin Durant and blame Steve and Bob for his f******

  23. CookieMonsterNova

why are we listening to a random twitter account?

  24. needtoshave

Everyone on here is commenting nonsense. You don’t know what went down. Let it rest.

  25. dkdalycpa

JP gets on my nerves, hard. I wish DG would have punched him to the moon.

  26. Efficient_Product_66

Still shouldn’t have punched him. I’m so torn /always been torn with Draymond. Who else has their tinfoil hat on and thought when the incident happened, that it would set the tone for the season and we wouldn’t repeat ?
