Thank god we don’t have to deal with this.

We as a fan base really need to do a better job at appreciating what we have because the grass is not always greener. Things could be so much worse. I’m so thankful that Trae has been such a normal down to earth person and we don’t have to worry about him doing stupid shit every other week. I honestly wonder if the NBA and media are going to regret not pushing him at all. It blows my mind how he’s top 10 in jersey sales every year with zero promotion outside of our organization. And zero likability because any coverage he does get is mainly negative. Imagine where he’d be if they propped him up the way they should. They’re leaving so much money on the table in an attempt to prove themselves right about him not succeeding in the league. Trae won’t be losing forever. Anybody who actually watches him play understands what he brings to the table and how valuable it is. Theres only 2 other guys in the league that can bring a similar level of scoring and playmaking and both of those players (rightfully so) are pushed as potential faces of the league.

Meanwhile some of the people the league does push (Zion, Ja, Lamelo) are more interested in being young and rich than anything involving basketball. Zion hasn’t really gotten up to any blatant buffoonery but the fact that he refuses to get his body into a shape where he can actually play the game speaks volumes about his work ethic and seriousness when it comes to his job. It also seems they may already be wiping their hands with Lamelo. He’s a good player but nowhere near good enough for the promotion that he was given his first 2 seasons in the league. Especially when he’s out here on live smoking weed, drinking lean and not to mention the myriad of videos of him driving around Charlotte with no regard for anyone else or himself.

We’ve been through hell as fanbase these past three years. I’ve personally gone through the 7 stages of grief more than once In that time span. In 3 years we’ve only had about 3 months of consistent play from our team. It’s hard to put into words how frustrated I’ve been over this time period. But with that being said I’d still take our situation over MANY others around the league. Perspective is everything and it’s a lot easier to look on the brighter side when you first consider the worst case scenario and I can confidently say that we’re far from that.
