Ive read article about Popovich and Bud and I personally don't understand the firing. Popovich was about to be fired in 1999 after starting the season 6-8 and a bad loss in 1998, they ended up winning and creating the most consistent dynasty in the league. Pop kept Bud around for 18 seasons for a reason. Also, coaching legend Jerry Sloan stuck with the Jazz for a million years and brought them consistent success, even when he lost in the first round with a 62 win jazz in '95. The Bucks were just impatient, you'll have successes and failures
