Woj speaks on Ja Morant after his latest video: “I think Ja Morant is facing a lengthy, a significant suspension to start next season if indeed that was a firearm in his hand in that video. … I don’t think Adam Silver is going to take this one lightly.”

“If”? I don’t think we can gaslight our way out of this one
Let’s hope he doesn’t take this suspension as a longer off-season just to do more dumb shit lmao. Shouldn’t the team force him to do more community work?
So it was a water pistol, fixes everything
Six months probably
I’m not a grizzlies fan nor a hater, I’m only hear cause reddit suggested this post to me but I don’t think he should really get the book thrown at him.
So legally speaking, we know he didn’t break any laws this time, but is there actually anything in the CBA that states players can’t have pictures of guns or display guns? I know there is stuff about traveling with team events etc. There is probably something with “personal image”, but I’m wondering on what basis is there for an actual suspension from the league?
Not defending his actions or his sponsorship money, just actually curious about this. TN has state representatives who have family portraits with their whatever kind of semi-auto rifles, so something just seems off. Maybe it was the rap music in the background? Idk, but I’m just posing a question about the legality and difference in the optics on this
I’m pretty confident it was a firearm.
Ja’s PR team desperately looking for a squirt gun that even remotely looks like the gun..
So called friend took the IG live footage of Ja. Now Ja gonna be suspended 1/2 season, minimum. Millions of dollars lost.
I have a genuine question that maybe has been answered elsewhere but I don’t know how to search for the answer.
AFIK, the video that came out, he was not in any NBA facility, team facility or anything of the sort. This was him in his private free time.
Now, I am actually not in favor of firearms at all, but so long as they are legal, and he wasn’t doing anything with them at work… like I don’t understand that outrage to be quite honest.
Yea, it’s not what I want to be seeing from him, I wished he protected his image better, but other than his image, what is this about?
