LeBron, Lakers advance to WCF, Steve Kerr rips Warriors after Game 6 loss | NBA | FIRST THINGS FIRST

The Los Angeles Lakers never trailed in a 122-101 series-clinching Game 6 win win over the Golden State Warriors. LeBron led the way with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists, while AD chipped in 17 points and 20 rebounds. The Lakers now advance to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2020, when they also met the Denver Nuggets. Nick Wright, Chris Broussard and Kevin Wildes react to Lakers’ win over Warriors and Steve Kerr’s post game comments claiming Warriors are not a “championship team.”

  1. I've been waiting for this one. As usual, Broussard always has his excuses. Excuses. Excuses. These so-called analysts always get away with not apologizing. But I was glad Brou picked the Warriors. He is almost always wrong.

  2. Broussard used to be a defense back with all the back pedaling! 😂😂😂Dude picked warriors & Clippers! 😂😂😂

  3. I feel like we can't say that Steph had no help just cause his teammates weren't making shots honestly. Only person I could say that to and it's pretty bad saying this is Westbrook and the Clippers.

  4. LoL…Brusssard, c'mon bro….Steph don't play defense, he has Klay, he has one of the greatest coaches of all times, they have Greene who is supposed to be one of the defenders on the NBA…and they have Poole.

Bottom line is that Kerr doesn't like coaching big men, and he gets rid of all his big men over 6'10". Just think about how they could have brought Wiseman along and developed him in order to combat the West big guys. Nope, Kerr likes playing small ball while leading the league in fouls and letting Steph and Klay shoot half court 3 point shots. The Warriors are the most overrated team.

  5. A monkey could throw a dart at a list of NBA teams and pick winners better than Brou. He is eating words like its a Man vs Foos challenge. On the menu: humble pie.

  6. But Nick, these other players don’t have another top 10 player to lean on and they also aren’t on STEROIDS like LePEDs

  7. The problem with Chris’ argument that Lebron “had AD” and curry didn’t have an equivalent is that he’d been saying the entire series that the Warriors were still the better team. If they are/were indeed the better overall team, then Lebron having AD should not factor in at all to whether Curry played a better series than Lebron or not. If anything, even with AD, Lebron matching Curry’s stats in the series should be more impressive since the Warriors were “the better “team”.

  8. This trio has phenomenal chemistry. The back and forth is so fun and Wilds always trying to be the parent in the room is priceless. I could watch them all day. <3

  9. How can the warriors develop younger talent when Steph shoots 50 times a game, that’s why they traded wisemen he’s talented but Steph shoots nonstop it’s crazy….

  10. Seems as though when the great games go down we never have a next day assessment lol, it’s always on the weekend.

  11. Not a laker fan I prefer gsw but I picked Lakers because there bigger , rebound better, finally got a PG in d lo who could shoot and facilitate .

Clearly they lack size athletic players on the front line and it's time to invest in the future

Gsw- need to let dre go sign and trade, maybe even klay going forward I'm thinking he is less than 20 mill a yr and Dre 15 or less.

  12. OTHER THAN PERK, ESPN AND OTHER WARRIOR-LOVING MEDIA ANALYSTS SAID THAT THE LAKERS CEILING WAS A 9TH SEED!!!! HOW YOU FEELIN' NOW BROUSSARD?????? IT'S HILARIOUS TO WATCH BROUSSARD TAKING HIS FOOT OUT OF HIS MOUTH, EATING HUMBLE PIE, MAKING EXCUSES FOR THE WARRIORS, AND BREAKING HIS ANKLE JUMPING ON THE LAKERS BANDWAGON!!!! HE PICKED THE WARRIORS TO BEAT THE LAKERS BUT ISN'T SURPRISED THAT THE LAKERS WON??????LOL!!!!!! GIVE ME A F##&ING BREAK!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!

  13. LeBron is just incredible this shouldn't even be possible what he's doing

  14. Biggest question for Lakers in Denver series
Is AD as good or better than the joker?

Is rui Hachimura the proof that a guy like Beal is just a bigger better
Lou Williams – j. Crawford that stunts the growth of a player and team?

Does lebron have enough in the tank to win another ring in yr 20?

  15. Broussard is crazy for thinking Steph outplayed Lebron in this series. Nobody cares about defense anymore apparently. Steph was hunted by everyone all series long. Austin Reaves and Lonnie Walker had extremely efficient twenty point games and were doing a lot of it with Steph as the primary defender. What good does Stephs 30 that final game do if he was shooting such a poor percentage, meanwhile Austin Reaves is getting a super efficient 21. Did we see the warriors using the pick and roll to get a one on one matchups with Lebron over and over again? Yeah didn’t think so lol. Obviously steph had the inferior team this series but that shouldn’t get him a free pass for poor defense and costly turnovers.

  16. Nick is such a Lebron fanboy its kinda annoying. No way he outplayed Steph. Steph just didn't have much help. Lakers had one game won by Lonny Walker, another game by DLo. Thats 2 of the 4 by supporting cast…And AD was a defensive monster who had a good series in totality. Nick is such a fanboy I tell you!!

  17. Denver

Can the joker 🃏 show us he is a superstar. Someone who can be a regular season mvp
    And finals MVP.

Murray- are you a top 3 PG in the west?

Porter- Can you be a third tier or better all star player in this round. Not a role player who can score

  18. Whoever thought Steph was the best player just cuz of the first round when they barely beat the Kings has nobody but themselves to blame when he yet again proves he’s not. No 6’3 guard has ever been the best player in the world. On the flip side, the Warriors already won last year and rightfully shut a lot of ppl up so there’s no way ppl can dog them considering most teams don’t repeat. A good roster change here and there, starting with getting rid of the donkey and the punching bag, can do wonders for the Warriors moving forward. May also need to shop Klay too…
