  1. this take is missing a big point – we don't need to replace the empty regular season numbers that randle provides we need to bring in a guy who is a competent scorer and defender while supplementing the offense through increased touches for rj/grimes/quickley/obi etc

we have brunson – we don't need randle's regular season production anymore to get the postseason. it's time to move on from him.

  2. Melo gave us unbelievable scoring……. How much playoffs success? Js. Regular season don't mean anything sometimes

  3. You can’t just dump Randle. I feel this whole situation is asinine. Barrett had a really bad regular season and didn’t carry them to the five seed. Why is there no talk packaging him? Bc he played 6-7 good playoff games? Randle needs a good mentor in or out the Knicks Org. and see if that can help. Only then, if it doesn’t, then you trade.

Also, the Obi Toppin filling the void for Randle is a joke, he cannot put up close to JR’s numbers. The Knicks were great this year and fell exactly where they should, a competitive second round team. It’s not all on Randle, it’s absurd.

  4. Moving Julius isn’t that hard. He’s a good player but not a must keep. What good is a dude that gives you 25 and 10 in the regular season but give you 12 and 5 in the playoffs.

  5. The attitude, lack of defensive effort, jekyll and hyde on court personality, lack of accountability, no shows in post-game interviews when they lose etc.. I can go on. He shows no pride in wearing the uniform. Get a slightly above average 2 way player and be done with it.

  6. Fans were mostly blind to the good things Randle did during the playoffs. He’s not perfect but he’s also not the player fans are projecting onto him.

  7. My biggest concern aside from Randles piss poor attitude and lack of overall improvement is that coach Thibs fear of or lack of ability to develop younger players. Obi Toppin is only going to get better if he gets quality minutes. IQ in the playoffs showed to much fear or offensive insecurity and coach didn’t even try to give McBride a chance. Either way I just hope the Knicks get healthy and bounce back. Let’s go KNICKs

  8. THE KNIICKS must focus on building a winning culture with smart players who can defend and shoot. If there was more shooting in the playoff versus Miami, the knicks would still be playing today. Quentin and Immanuel must become elite shooters. If the knicks can bring in 1 or 2 shooters, and maintain a defensive culture, they should be competing for the ECF next season.

  9. Yeah I think the Knicks been looking at this situation all wrong. It's not about whose going to give us the same offensive production. It's about who can score on defenses when they pay attention to Brunson or take attention away from Brunson (a solid scorer). We just need a bucket getter. I don't think we need this Giannis type trade. Just a solid scorer and move Obi up as a starter, you'll have a more dynamic offense…it's either that or get rid of thibs bc he's no help either

  10. You are all delusional!!! Randle is a non factor player for the Knicks!! What you smoking?

  11. They dont need to replace offesive production, they need to add to offensive production, need a few shooters in here.

  12. To all you general managers out there so who you gonna get to replace Randle's offensive production I have a problem with his mood swings on the court Grimes isn't the shooter we need yet Mitch needs to work on his game some more but I think when he's healthy he's great in the middle resign Josh Hart IQ is going to think he's a starter so he's gonna want more money RJ is on the right track Obi needs to be that guy that works the paint he's being forced into being a three pointer and he's not he needs to drive the ball more hey we can go on and on but back to all the GMs out there if you want to dump Randle then how you going to replace hi offensive production and take your feelings out of it.

  13. I don’t think we need to get rid of Randle , we need more offensive help on the floor a reliable scorer !

  14. 2005-07: "Eli Manning can't win a playoff game, he's a bust, he doesnt have the attitude or fire to make it in NY"…oops!

When your team is good for the first time in a decade, you don't get rid of your best players when they just got you further than youve been in that time, you build a team around them and try again! Randle is like the 50-something-th highest paid player, use that flexibility and add to the team!

  15. i think jrue holiday and deandre ayton is for the taking this summer. julius/mitch for ayton. grimes/quick/rose/shamet (suns)/and 3-4 1st for jrue.

it's been a wild run with julius but this is brunson's team now. the knicks need to build around jb and julius needs to go. he's not a great fit with jb and the knicks have obi to fill that spot and is a better fit with jb than julius. i love mitch but getting ayton would be a huge upgrade.

trading grimes/quick and probably four 1st for jrue might seem a lot but there isn't any better two way player available this summer and the knicks need a perennial defensive stopper to team up with brunson. mikal will cost the entire farm but jrue is attainable, imo. the bucks are gonna be desperate this summer and the only trade asset they have is jrue. the knicks should take advantage of this opportunity.

this summer is going to be super interesting for the knicks and i'm legit excited to see what actually happens this off-season.

  16. Trade Slow one dimensional RJ and JR "maybe they want it more than us"! Knicks will never win with these two…RJ is a good bench player!

  17. They should've been moved on from him and never should've extended him now it's going to be hard to trade him

  18. Don’t get fooled by the foolishness that’s said, that you have to get back a player that can produce 25/10/4. 1 player doesn’t need to produce those numbers because you can get those numbers from 2 players. Trade Randle, sign Naz Reid, let Toppin play out his extension and split the PF position with Reid. Let the best PF start and the other backup. Between them you can replace Randles numbers, while removing the bad body language, moody and surly personality, and a player not built for NY playoff basketball.

  19. NO….The better question is, should the Knicks move on from thibs …….and the answer is a RESOUNDING..YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  20. Another video talking about everyone else possibly being moved, but no mention of thibs' ineptitude…..That ain't by accident…….the complexion for the protection…..TYPICAL!!!!!.

  21. Randle was obviously hurt. Team is better with him right now. Only one untradeable is Brunson.

  22. Only reason you need to supplement Randle’s scoring is because Thibs have made the team a iso team. The whole offense was built around him. Team needs to be a faster transition team. They supplemented his scoring in the play offs smh. Knicks have to stop being scared. You have play off teams firing their coaches and traded their stats because they realize their ceiling. The play offs expose Coaches and players. Brunson and Barrett were our two best players post season. Build around them. Brings someone else in that can help the offense move quicker and open lanes for Brunson and Barrett to operate. The Knicks have ruined Julius Randle by enabling him. No other team is going to cater to him like we do. Trade him while you still can and move on.

  23. I disagree with Ian. You can trade Randle and have players like iq, rj, and obi take on more responsibilities on offense + whatever you get in return for trading Randle hopefully it’s efficient shot creating and defense

  24. Well that's exactly what you do get someone better all around make it happen for the guy you know is better with an all around game

  25. I think Mitchell Robinson has to be replaced. He doesn’t score, he doesn’t post up, and he can’t make free throws. Yes he can block a few more shots and get a couple of extra rebounds here and there but need a C that can score the ball. Adebayo was a major win for the heat as far as match ups. I like Robinson but could be a great chip in a trade.
