The NBA has a long history to moving bad coaches from team to team.

At this point they need to let the underperforming "superstar" players coach these teams. So when they fail and underperform no more fallguys.

Less of a surprise than Suns and Bucks firing. Doc had several rides on his ability to schmooze as well as the Celtics 1 championship- a championship where he basically lucked out when the Celtics acquired Garnett and Allen to go with Pierce and Rondo. He owes his history of being employed to Ainge and those players. He has never had a single team that overachieved in the playoffs and I do not need to repeat all the instances in which his teams underperformed
So if you win the bronze in the Olympics time and time again
