The big knock on his game is his defense. But if you think about it, most of the celebrated players in the league are awful on the defensive end. Two players mentioned in the interview, Joker and Luka, are terrible defenders.
But if you come in and light it up, that's how you get on the floor. It's almost always the ancillary players playing most of the defense anyway.

Defense, in my opinion, in Euroleague is tougher and also different. In Euroleague you need agility for longer time, to keep the tempo, to have great discipline, while in NBA you have to be faster and more explosive to handle more athletic opponents. The comparison with Luka is not fair. Luka was significantly worse in defense in Euroleague compared to Vezenkov and obvious that translated 1 to 1 in NBA. Luka is just not willing to put the effort to defend. Sasha is really not an explosive player, but willing to work! I think he needs to be more wise, to time better when and how to guard.
