First things first, I appreciate the guy. He's put the knicks on back on the map competitive wise. However I think at this point we've seen enough to be honest. He's been here for a while now and we have reached our threshold with him but not only that, it's the attitude and toxic behavior. It's the lack of leadership… he doesn't hustle on defense, he doesn't close out on shooters.. We've had a good sample size and we've reach our ceiling… I think it's time to move on. The fans are burnt out with Julius.
If we carry on and do almost nothing to improve this team this offseason its purgatory mode for the foreseeable future.
He’s not a max contact and an all star. He plays everyday. He’s not the best but he could be part of a championship team

i think someone like demar derozan is very underrated and can help this team out. If we trade for him and then add 3 point shooters onto team like a seth curry and max strus or burks add a back up center like Drummond he should be cheap now or bring in a glass eater like Biyombo

Knicks fans are so ungrateful. Julius had a better series against the Heat than he did against the Cavs. Vs the Heat gm 2. 25pts 12 rbs 8 ast, gm 3. 10pt 14rbs, gm 4. 20pts 9rbs, gm 5. 24pts 5rbs 5ast. Gm 6. 15pts 11rbs. The man was productive. The heat were just the better team in this series. A large part of that was the heats role players vs the Knicks. The bench gave nothing and Mitch gave nothing. But that doesn't Garner much engagement in the comments as bashing Julius does. Good luck finding his replacement.

I don't mind keeping Randle, the Knicks are a competitive team and he's one of the reasons why. But if they trade him we got to get something of value back not just a box of cigarettes with heavy protected picks.

Tho core issue is not the player, but the manner in which the players are utilized and the culture that has been developed within the locker room. We recently saw teams fire coaches with great resumes. The one common reason is ownership felt the clock ran out on that coach to connect with key or most of the players.
His last game randles body language spoke volumes thats the best its gonna get its time to move on lets give obi a shot

I think some people are looking at thing too rigid. If Knicks rly wanted to trade him we're probably not going to get an exact 25 & 10 guy. All NBA players don't grow on trees and if we do most likely we're going to have to give up something else bc Randle has some baggage. The best way to look at this is get trade where we can get some pieces back to make us a more complete team. It doesn't have to be this one guy

Any one of KP (option year), Grant (UFA), Siakam (Expiring 2023-24) or OG (Expiring 2023-24) for Randle will do. We do not need to have a 20/10 duplication (although KP and Siakam can produce that with better efficiency), Getting Obi more minutes, Grimes more touches and opening the floor with any of those guys will make the Knicks a better team. Washington does not want to lose KP for nothing if he opts out (a lock to happen), Grant is UFA (and his defense is infinitely better than Randle not to mention consistent effort) means that moving Randle is nowhere near difficult. Question is if there is a willingness from Leon and co.
What about another Bridges from Hornets? Before missing last year with legal trouble he had awesome year previously and charlotte may look to move on.
Tbey was bench imploded during pays off juxt shows we need more. Maybe not 1 big move but maybe 1 or 2 smaller deals either Bridges (from Bk or Cha) keep assets and some of youth continue to build
I like Julius’ game when he focuses on picking his spots and working matchups he can win. His strength is in the paint, using his body and skill to dominate his man. On the other hand, his decision making is slow. Too many times he gets the ball and should make the quick pass or quick move to the hoop, but he hesitates, allowing the defense to collapse on him. If Julius can improve that aspect of his game, his value goes way up. If Julius has maxxed his game and reached his ceiling, the knicks will be stuck for the next three years with the status quo.
On defense, I love his rebounding, but I do not love his defensive energy and effort. I’ve seen too many times where he does not pay attention and allows weak side rebounders get position on him and win the rebound in crucial spots, which costs games late. His ability to read lanes must improve along with his overall body language and energy. I hope Julius can make these improvements and help the knicks going forward, because trading Randle IMO is not the best move.
I like Paul George’s fit with the Knicks. I wouldn’t give up everything for Embiid

Randle has been good every year he’s been here. Has he been great in the playoffs no though he was better this time out. He’s done better with the attitude which is his main issue.
What I’d like to see from him next year is to be more of a threat in the paint and keep improving on the turn overs. I’d like to see him and Obi on the floor together but that’s a Thibs thing. I’d also like for us to go get Jerami Grant if possible and if not upgrade the back up center position. Due to Mitch’s lack of offense I believe that’s necessary. There’s plenty of 4/5 to be had in free agency
I’m hard on Julius Randle because I know that he is not suited to be the best player on a team. The leader of a team. If he is that, you have a major issue for your team. And that is why our ceiling is what you’ve just witnessed this regular season and post season. Win some games keep fan interest, flame out in the playoffs. You don’t need a like for like trade for Randle. I could sign Naz Reid and hold onto Toppin, without giving him a extension unless he shows he’s has gotten better. Between the 2, you will get 25/10, guaranteed…

Be careful what you ask for. I think Jalen played so crazy that people forget what randle brought to the table. Honestly without him we are probably 8th seed/play in. He performed pretty good in the regular season. Im all for running it back one more time with this duo. I jjst feel we need to tweak some stuff. Get burks on that bench as the swiss army knife with hart will be great. See what you can get for obi and evan. Maybe another big forward two way to come off the bench. I dont think we are that far away

I also appreciate Rose's consistency… By not talking to the media when we're winning or not winning….we need 1 more bucket getter….and Mitchell Robinson was right… Bam did out play him in this series of course….only because he was not a threat on offense or even an option, and Bam never had to work equally as hard on the defensive side of the ball to guard..mitchy ain't no snitchy… This would be a different storyline if we had a consistent 15/20 point per game bucket getta… If We truly have to get a veteran that's older…. But would fit in with this team, I hope that we go after khris middleton…and truly take the load off JR & JB… Because bottom line we had nobody else that can score consistently.🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️… In my opinion, both of them logged way too many minutes before the playoffs…🤷🏿♂️ heard it first here and keep up the good work, guys….
