I’m as hyped for Wemby as anyone, but I’m setting my expectations at poor-man’s Giannis. He doesn’t need to be the best player ever. I just want to see him healthy and playing well and I hope the team facilitates that. Some of his highlights are unreal, but jeopardize his safety (e.g. contested one foot fadeaways where he falls down)
As used to pressure as Victor has become already, I’m still glad for him he’s coming to a lowkey market with limited exposure compared to NY or LA. People will still talk, but he should be shielded from some of the national media ridiculousness. Maybe he could take it, but I’d rather he’d be spared the distraction and can focus on getting better.
