Defense was lackluster at best. Rob not jumping on shots, and just lack of hustle overall
Jimmy just cruising around shooting like he’s in his driveway lol. Definitely gonna have to not let it be that easy again.
Yeah Rob and Al are just not ideal for that midrange matchup, they’re easily hunted and if they play up close they’ll end up fouling.
Also i know he added a few clips of Brogdon but I don’t think its being emphasized enough how mediocre him and White were on defense last night. If they weren’t getting cooked or just leaving their guy open they were committing the dumbest fouls.
I’m confident we’ll adjust, but they will also make adjustments
I dunno, I think Game 1 vs the Sixers was less serious.
Defense at the point of attack has been a disaster all season. All our perimeter players get blown by immediately and our rotations are consistently late. And then Rob doesn’t believe in contesting shots outside the paint
When the Celtics’ offense is clicking and they’re making shots, they lose their focus on defense.
When the defense is clicking and they’re getting stops, they lose their focus on offense and settle for tough jumpers.
If they played hard on offense and defense for all four quarters, they could have breezed through Atlanta, Philly, and Miami without dropping more than two or three games.
Jaylen brown had 7 turns overs and JT had 2 travels in crunch time in the 4th. We Looked like a JV HS team down the stretch
I’m finding it harder and harder to get behind a team that plays like this every other game. In the fucking playoff you need to win 16 games but how this team thinks they can just walk through shit is embarrassing. Conversely, Miami, doesn’t play like that, hardly ever. Hm, wonder who’s going to win this series. I hope I’m fucking wrong but sheesh 🙄
Exactly this. We scored 116. That’s about 20 more points than it should take to beat this Heat team. Literally just try and these games won’t be close. Last night we fucked around and found out real quick.

If what Marcus said is true, then maybe he’s the source of the problems on defense (and offense).
My guess is a portion of this is because they were over prepped on MIA pump fakes. Which we didn’t bite on, but at the cost of them just getting easier looks.
