besides Mitchell & garland, the cavs really don't have anyone to score consistently, & besides mobley & Allen, they have no one else who can grab rebounds consistently. you can't rely on just TWO players to do all the scoring & all the rebounding. they need tertiary players to complement the main starters. also, there was a SEVERE lack of physicality from pretty much everyone except for levert & okoro. they need a tough, no-nonsense player, kind of like they had with rajon rando. he NEVER would have put up with the lack of urgency, intensity & physicality shown in that kicks series. sign some vet rebounders & shooters. a true 3&D wing would do wonders for the starting line up.
Players and coaches have to be better next year if we want to make a deep postseason run. Game 2 vs the Knicks is when we were at our best. But all the other games in that series? We looked like a team that had no chemistry and it was as if it was our first night playing together.
You guys do a good job
The 3 key numbers are more about coaching philosophy than anything else. Jordan and Kobe get the praise, but Phil put them in position to be successful. U can't compare the cavs offense to the 76ers or Celtics. They have size and strength with their best scorers we don't. JB falls n love with hero ball instead of getting other players involved in the offense. Evan and Jarrett are capable enough to be primary ball handlers in the half court offense like a Green or Sabonis to allow Garland and Spida to play off ball to get catch & shoot opportunities to score. I figure making these trade for Spida U would do that with JA and Mobley as well as Love coming off the bench. Also defensively, the cavs did too much switching, putting Allen in awkward 2 on 1 rebound opportunities. If u r going to continue to switch, at least put Stevens or Wade in the Starting Lineup to help with that. Nothing else JB did work why not. JB should have challenged Mitchell to guard Brunson especially when Spidas offense wasn't effective. Coaching is the main problem with ur 3 keys. Nick Nurse and Mike Bud are ready now to catch this team. They understand the importance of getting bigs involved offensively, team defense, gang rebounding, and movement without the ball with ur best shooters despite position
