  7. Coach Pop said" Yeah, we got the number one puck, but not gonna choose Wember" 😂

  8. Glad we got vic wemby we still got a ways to go i think the spurs will be playoff contenders in 2 to 3 years if the team grooves together and play team ball like the golden days but winning a chip will be in about 3 to 5 years away just my opinion

  9. Pop: *Makes plans to retire next year or so*
    *Spurs wins the Wemby sweepstakes*
Pop: …………….FINE AT LEAST 10 MORE YEARS

  10. This is an unforgettable moment in Spurs history. Can’t wait to see how he looks in that black

  11. Wasn’t it about a month ago the Spurs used some legal process to sign Victor? The lottery is not rigged right?

  12. Be careful what you wish for; it could be a blessing or a curse…. As for Victor Wembanyama, he reminds me of a young Ralph Sampson (7-4, 230). His game needs work to compete the NBA level, and he needs be stronger and more durable. NBA players are already saying they are going to be aggressive and physical against him.

Sampson played 4 years at Virginia, then selected #1 by the Rockets, and 9 years in the NBA. He had a very similar skill set–unicorn stuff, a game changer. His game was outside the post. Inside the paint, he held his own, but the Rockets had Hakeem Olajuwon playing C, and Sampson at PF.

The Rockets never won a championship with both Sampson and Olajuwon. In 1986, they gave a loaded Celtics team all they could handle, but fell short. The next season, Sampson suffered a knee injury. After 6 seasons with the Rockets, he was traded to the Warriors.

Knee and back injuries cut Sampson's career short. If not for the injuries, he could've been even better than he was; anyhow, he was inducted into the basketball HOF in 2011.

  13. As a Lakers fan congrats, no better place for Victor to go and develop to. From Admiral, to Timmy to Wemby. Damn you guys are lucky frfr.
