I can say give Poole 1 more year, if still not work trade him. Also why Poole get to blame? Its clearly Steph and Thompson caused Warriors to lose the series. Check the stat.
I think Bob takes some of the blame for the disconnect and the flaws in the team this year (and even before this year). And for those who go "the Dubs won 4 chips" and they want to give the credit to him and to Steve Kerr. The answer is always Steph Curry and sometimes Klay and Draymond. Whenever they were in trouble I never saw major coaching miracles, it was all left to the heroism of the Splash Brothers. I fault Bob Mayers for letting effective players leave the organization like Javale, then insisting on getting smaller by the hour. They let GPd2 leave only to trade their biggest man -no2 pick to get him back again. Even when KD came to the Warriors, the team was mostly trash outside of the Hampton5.
I always say, Steph Curry and the remaining core, had won 4 championships not because of the coach and the manager but despite them. Maybe they could've won more with other coaches/managers who better valued players like Javale, Wiseman, etc. Just saying!
I really don’t think there’s a huge need for big moves. I think if we trade away that 19th pick and Rollins for a big we’ll be ok.
I agree that they may need to trade Poole but both of your assessment of Poole and what he did last year is wrong. Even with his inefficiencies and up and down play, Jordan was still the 3rd leading scorer on the team and averaged 20.4 ppg with 4.5 assists. When Steph was out and Poole started for him, his production jumped to 26 ppg with 6 assists. Those numbers aren't easy to do in the NBA and that is production that would need to be replaced if you trade him.
This core is a championship winning core.The problem wasn't talent it was chemistry. You can't let Poole go cause as Steph said "he is the key". KD was the odd man out so moving from him after what happened between him and Draymond. And now the same problem that wasn't deal with then is showing his ugly head now. The only difference is now it is not KD it is Poole. Both are the reason they missed another championship imo. This time they have a chance to mandate. Poole isn't the odd man out. If they trade him before they mandate his and Draymond relationship the culture that make the Warriors team different, a winning organization might never recover and be back. Like you trade Poole get someone else and keep Wiggins,Loon, PBJ you think the locker room will just magicly good again ? Imo
No way we are getting O.G or Bridges for only JP would have to be he and Kuminga and neither of them help you beat Anthony Davis or Joker
