That has to be one of the most disrespectful things I’ve heard from a sport analyst in a while. “If the Heat can do it why can’t the Sixers build around one star”. Dude CULTURE is not easy to build & takes time. It requires EVERYONE to buy in from ownership down to the medical staff & maybe lower. Mia’s “Heat Culture” is 25+ plus yrs in making. Scouting, player development & coaching is also required. Then a lead player to embody and pioneer the rest of the players. Rockets fans, having Harden means guaranteed playoffs. He doesnt have to win it all asap in Houston he will be there to develop young core which you should be excited about. Don’t want him back in Houston. We’ve been there and done that with him already.
No matter how may talking heads try to create the content that Harden will return to Houston I do not believe for a second that Houston has any interest for the obvious reason that he would represent a setback to the rebuild they are attempting and would stunt the development of Green and Jones . They remember how he forced his way out of the contract and know that they do not need his attitude around the younger players.
