  1. Brunson is even better than what he showed in this series.
The Heat focused on him through full court pressure and double teams and he was still able to score 30 points.
In your honest opinion where does he rank NOW as a PG?
This is also why I feel the Knicks needs to dig deep and do a line up shuffle/reconstruct and build around Brunson and NOT Randle.
Randle disappears in the playoffs and the offense looks clunky and slow with him in there (like a poor man's Melo) and don't even get me started on his lack of defense and hustle for loose balls.
RJ Barret is another one I would take a look at. I would trade him or move him to the bench, he is too inconsistent to be a started and while he has some good games, he is not a solid number 2 and barely even a dependable 3rd option because he lacks confidence and consistency. The rest of the team actually fought their asses off to even make this a series they were clearly out coached/outplayed in.
But my final analysis is that the Knicks played better than last year and made it further than I thought they would. They are moving in the right direction with Brunson, but some changes need to be made to the roster/lineup, but I feel Thibs is too stubborn and stuck on certain players to do that.
Randle thinks he is better than what he is and needs to be traded while he still has value.
This is a different league than it was 20 years ago and his bully ball doesn't translate because too many ticky tack fouls are being called and he is NO LEADER.

  2. We had our best chance to go to the NBA finals..this was a winnable series. The coach chose some bad lineups. Never played Toppin with Randle, you could’ve done that yesterday. You didn’t play Rose but chose McBride (he’s a defensive specialist and plays off the ball) during that critical stretch where you needed a good ball handler (when JB sat down). You could’ve played Fournier while struggling with shooting at least in some situations. Yes we missed free throws so there are things the Knicks players could do, but this is mostly on the coach in my opinion. Every year the dynamic of the nba could change with one major or minor trade, signing or etc. It’s just the nature of the league. We had a legitimate shot at the Finals because Philly and Boston were great matchups. #SourTaste

  3. I'm upset, but it was a great run . It is hard for one player to carry the team, which is impossible. Randle and RJ didn't show up . Props to Miami !

  4. Hate to see the Knicks lose the game like that especially by only 4 points. Brunson must be fuming as he was like a one man band on offense. Some people say Knicks need a superstar? They have a superstar and his name is Jalen Brunson. The guy who averaged 28 points per game during these playoffs. He has the it factor. Randle was quite disappointing. Even if one is having a bad game offensively, one can contribute in other aspects of the game and even sitting on bench. Always give 100%. I see players like Brunson, Saquon Barkley and Aaron Judge and you can see the it factor and leadership skill. I like Mitchell Robinson defense and rebounding but his lack of offense is really hurting the Knicks offense. Whoever is covering Robinson can pretty much wander around and the Heat can easily double team whoever. No offensive worries about Robinson. Almost like playing 4 vs 5 defenders when Knicks are on offense. Knicks can't even pass it to him wide open if he is 5 feet from the basket. That is crazy. The 50% bullet FTs are painful.

  5. If Brunson had any help we’d win this game. Heat didn’t win, Knicks lost. Only 11 from RJ and 15 from Randle? Unacceptable. This loss better be in their mind all throughout next season and into the playoffs next year. This can’t happen again. Tired of seeing second-round exits from the Knicks.

  6. Randle is just not it. He's a good regular season player, he's not a playoff player.

  7. Overachievers, Rj(22), Mitchell(25), brunson(26), grimes (23), toppings (25), a solid team. I would like to see who becomes available this off season.

  8. Grimes & Broadway Barrett are young! Both Have to be more aggressive and learn to get to spots on court where they can score Consistently!

  9. The Randle and Thibs experiment has to come to a end already . RANDLE, As much as I like him is not a crunch time playoff winner. 2 seasons coming up small in the post season he has to go . We need a legitimate 2 with Brunson leading the way with Brunson here we have to cash on some.of.the picks we have to get him help because there is no way we allow Thibs to run him or all of.the guys into the ground with such high usage. Also effects there playoff energy come the playoffs.

  10. Why did thibs wait so long to put in grimes ? RJ sucked and he was playing him until two minutes left, he cost them 3 crucial possessions with his sloppy play and horrible shooting from the field

  11. It's not Thib, or Randall in last night. Brunson has to be a little selfish. Brunson is a pure point guard, a pure shooting guard. It should have take the shot, instead of passing to Randall. Randall is a good player, but it doesn't have the leadership mentality during playoffs. The best way to use Randall is to let him play first, second, and third quarter during playoffs. If the team is behind on fourth, Randall always indecisive to shoot the ball. The big mistake Nick's made, not sign Carmelo before the playoffs, and not to play Derrick Rose when Quickley went down.

  12. Thibs can stay. He got us this far into the play offs but randles gotta go. RJ is 22 years old and thankfully JB is here to stay. We’ll be back stronger next year as long as we make the right moves this off season…. Bye Julius

  13. Credit to the coaching? Wally and Alan trying to help Tom keep his job

  14. Would like to see Julius Randle traded he is a season all star, 3rd team NBA puts up some fantastic numbers BUT, when is NOT locked in he is marginal and it affects his teammates

  15. Randle needs to go and EASPECIALLY Thibodeaux needs to GO. Spoelstra THOROUGHLY outcoached that dude and as usually the stubborn and unimaginative coach did NOTHING to shake up the team. Obi Toppin was clearly having a better game than Randle but he stuck with Randle like usual. Maybe you can package BOTH their asses off to the same team. But as long as THAT gut is the coach and Randle is on this team – we ain't winning a THING. Get SERIOUS with going after Giannis. I know it's just a rumor right now – but make it happen. That dude doesn't want to go through another rebuild, he's 28 and wants to win now. Giannis replacing Randle makes us immediate contenders – provided we don't have the same coach.

  16. 50 years Knicks won the last championship and another 50 years with Randle and Barrett in the roster never going to make the finals with those pathetic players

  17. Every mention of the Knicks missing players but no mention of the missing Heat players… of course, ya twats.
