It looks like OP posted an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of [concerns over privacy and the Open Web](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmputatorBot/comments/ehrq3z/why_did_i_build_amputatorbot).

Keep d’lo away from this organization please. That dude can’t shoot, can’t defend, is entitled… now that I think about it, is there 1 good trait he offers?

I feel reading this article made me lose brain cells. As others have said, keep dlo away. Malaki is a 2, they used him to bring the ball up, but he does not have the vision and passing to play the 1. They tried to make point sochan happen, it’s not worked out. Bronny? Is that a more attractive option than Tre or Wesley, rly? Unless a good, pass-first veteran becomes available, they’re best served going with last year’s rotation of Tre, Devonte, Blake, and see how things look in February.

I find the idea of traditional pg is outdated. Look at the 4 teams in the conference finals right now. None of them run with a traditional pg. The closest to the traditional PG is Jamal Murray but the Nuggets run most plays through Jokic.

Most teams still play a small guard at 1 because of the match up on defense. The NBA is loaded with explosive, score-first PG, so pairing the taller and slower player against smaller and faster guard at the top of the key is a recipe of disaster. However, what if the taller player has quick footwork that could keep up with the guard? We have that guy in Sochan. He already showed that he can stay (I say “stay”, not “stop”) with smaller guards on defense. He also showed that he has great court vision and can rack up assist if he wants too. If he can improve his ball handling. I don’t see why Pop wouldn’t employ him at the point fulltime.

I’m working on a very long analysis/writeup on the potential of trading into the lottery for one of Anthony Black or Cason Wallace, and one of the somewhat-out-there-but-perfectly-reasonable ideas I’ve come up with is grabbing the #12 pick in a three-teamer that involves sending McDermott (plus two of the future first-rounders we’ve stockpiled) to OKC and Tre Jones to Cleveland that also brings us back Ricky Rubio.

On the assumption that the only reason the Spurs would do such a move is that they believe Black or Wallace (or whoever – probably Wallace in this example because I expect Black to go top 10 and other guard options might be a reach) has the potential to be their long-term starting PG of the future, why wait? Go ahead and give him the keys for this first year when we’re still not necessarily trying to be great. Let Sochan and Wemby run point forward for X amount of possessions a game as well and bring the veteran Rubio (or Graham) in to hold down the fort if things get messy.

Cleveland gets to directly improve their backup PG situation, which was shaky for them all year, despite having used most of their real tradable assets in the Mitchell deal. OKC gets a veteran knockdown catch-and-shoot guy to bring off the bench, which will be an important piece for them in an upcoming season where I expect them to try and be competitive.

Edit: I realize this is not actually a three-teamer but just two separate trades; got some wires crossed in my mind with something else I was thinking about as I tried to quickly type this up on my lunch break. But the overall idea stands.

How exactly is everything aligned for us to draft bronny? Who hasn’t even started college yet. Lol.

We should sign a cheap vet to a one year and be patient. Wouldn’t mind taking on Kyle Lowry for this last year and take a 1st rd pick in the process as well.

    Dlo? Lillard?

Why would Dame leave a rebuilding team for another rebuilding team? What could the Spurs offer that Portland would actually want? Why would the Spurs sell future picks for a guy who will be retired before Wemby really hits?

Dlo is awful. The Wolves were so out on him they traded him when he is the best friend of one their stars and was having a career year. Don’t forget, when asked about helping Ant be a number 1, Dlo responded I am a number one. Why would anyone want this guy next to Wemby?

For sure wanna see Tre back and I like letting Sochan and Wesley get some time there, too.

  10. Bring back white, hes the best traditional pg that keeps the ball moving, plays his role, does not take touches from others, and defends well.
