In the NBA alone, Pistons went from their flame horse to a basketball that said Detroit Pistons on it.
Rockets primary logo now a definitely a downgrade from their prior one.
Clippers old logo already sucked and they found a way to downgrade that.
Sonics look to OKC was a huge downgrade

This is on par with the Hornets logo. The Grizzlies one sucks too compared to the original.

Not a downgrade at all. The new logo looks great on actual product, especially when it’s black on black, it’s hella fresh. The OG logo is nostalgic dope, classic and we have a sentimental attachment to it, but I personally don’t want to wear a dinosaur every time I put on Raptors gear.
I don’t think we need to compare.

The new logo is way more versatile for branding. It intelligently incorporates elements of the dinosaur into the basketball seams. This may be a downgrade for you, but not by a longshot for the brand.
The dinosaur is nostalgic as someone else in this thread suggested, but when you place this quad coloured logo onto products, it really limits the versatility to play with branding colours.

Looking at these two side by side, makes our new logo look horrific wtf

Old logo looked comical.

Easy… Maybe just cause the team was dog crap during that logo but I feel this is horrible

Hot take: the claw footprint logo is better than our current watermelon logo too
New logo is so bad. It looks like a watermelon, I am not joking, that’s where the inspiration came from!
I personally think the new logo is a lot better, i just wish the jerseys were as good
The Anaheim Ducks. Period. End of story.
Also this specific Raptors logo change is NOT a downgrade
