And your first instinct when someone grabs something from you is to hold on Especially ex Joc and Balls, Training and Instincts. And Yokic went to Far especially thinking it was just an Ordinary Fan. Listen, literally not a single person has brought up the fact that the refs have to hand the ball off to the inbounder after a dead ball. Players can try and speed that up by getting the ball and getting it to the ref as fast as possible but in this instance Jokic being so aggressive towards a “fan” was uncalled for. If I were Mat in that moment (WHO BY THE WAY DID NOT INTENTIONALLY GRAB THE BALL-it simply bounced into his lap) I would immediately have been concerned about Okogie and tried helping him get up.
I mean seriously put yourselves in Mat isbias shoes…you’re the owner and your player in tangled up in the floor level chairs right next to you…you don’t even think about the fact you have the ball in your hands you are thinking I need to help my guy get up! Jokic grabs the ball aggressively and it catches Mat off-guard. I don’t know about you but if I’m in the zone looking the other direction and someone is aggressively tugging at me-from my point of view-out of nowhere?! Human instinct is to pull back. Then I get pushed by the same guy who I just felt was being aggressive towards me (do I need to add he’s definitely the biggest guy in the building?!) ANYONE, I MEAN ANYONE IS GOING TO FALL BACK AND THROW THEIR HANDS UP. Owner or not he was not trying to interrupt the progress of the game.

Should Jokic get suspended? No. He should not. No true basketball fan wants a teams superstar to be suspended on a clearly controversial call going into game 5 with a tied series, okay?
Should Mat Ishbia have been ejected from the game? Maybe. How about the other 4 people who had their hands on Jokic after the shove? The one fan who slapped his arm got ejected, why didn’t Isaiah Thomas get ejected? Look back at the video. He had both his hands on joker. LITERALLY NOT A SINGLE SOUL HAS BROUGHT THAT UP?!?!
Should both Ishbia and Jokic be fined? Absolutely. Fine them both. If I’m Ishbia I’m honestly offering to cover Jokic’s fine for him on top of mine to show class and prove that it was not intentional.
