Draymond knows a thing or two about being disrespectful
Exactly if you are good you are good. No one is dumbfounded when Jokic plays well and 2nd round may as well be undrafted tbh I dont think theres that much of a difference.
It’s a fun media narrative point, but it’s also kinda meaningless. like 30% of all players in the NBA at any given point are undrafted.
Yeah the whole undrafted shit is dumb. I grt caught up in it too but in reality if you can hoop in nba then you belong no matter your status.
Many drafted players end up being busts and on the Guandong Tigers soon after. Props to the heat for finding these players and developing them. It is embarrassing though when role players out perform your superstars, that’s just plain unacceptable
It is completely disrespectful as a way to frame it, but the point that we have more talent is a valid one. The gap is pretty large going off of these guys’ historic performances, but we’re getting completely embarrassed anyways.
The cope is real lol,
Instead of a JB an all 2nd nba getting outplayed by, Max Strus, Duncan Robinson, and Gabe Vincent(Undrafted players), it’s “ bro put some f’ing respect on these Undrafted kids names”. Have that Marcus Smart mentality “We beat y’all last year, stop talking shit all game and play the fucking game”….
This best Undrafted player the NBA has ever seen(excluding Ben Wallace) is Christian Woods…y’all some shell shocked mf’ers lol.
They be making the undrafted players sound like orphans that Pat Riley saved.
Nah, lottery picks losing like *this* to undrafted players is egregious and needs to be highlighted over and over and over. Celtics are a bunch of fucking frauds. Butler more mental toughness than their entire roster combined.
Don’t post this donkey in here please
The heat Kinda remind me of the patriots honestly. They got a great coach with a under appreciated superstar with the right mentality surrounded by players that are over achieving because of the system and culture
We coulda had Strus
Okay i get it……BUT……
It’s a bunch of undrafted players killing our lottery picks. The context is important. Though I guess it just depends on which viewpoint you’re gonna look from
Yeah… saltiness aside that narrative was getting a little stupid. The Heat weren’t even the first to sign half those players, Martin came from Charlotte and *Strus (not Zeller) from Chicago.
When you say it like “the Celtics have a former DPOY, the current 6MOY and a former ROTY, two perennial all stars, one of whom was an MVP candidate for a bunch of the season and is a top 10 player in the league, and they’re getting outscored by Caleb Martin and Duncan Robinson”, then that sums it up a lot better.
Celtics bench did better against all these undrafted players better than the front 7, at least they were able to cut the lead out of the 30s.
It’s more of a dig towards Celtics lotto picks/drafted players and talent evaluation league wide than it is a dig towards the undrafted players at this point
Wait, the Heat have UNDRAFTED PLAYERS? I never knew that. Why haven’t Reggie Miller or VanGundy mentioned this? Maybe Charles Barkley or one of that crew could mention it next time just so we know. /s
Why’s no one talking about 4th overall pick, superstar Cody Zeller carrying the heat.
Fuck Draymond.
From a man that knows every player drafted in front of him. I get what he’s saying, but all everyone is saying is where they were drafted, and they weren’t. We hold #1 draft picks to where they were drafted, same as Curry, or Jordan, or anyone else, it’s just information to help grade these players. As for the Heat players and anyone else, doesn’t matter your draft number or if at all, you’re still an NBA player and regarded as one of the best players in the world. I get Draymond, but these guys take millions and know there are irrational critics everywhere, can’t let that shit get to you, even if it is true.
I hated it getting forced down everyone’s throat last night.
Don’t care what Draymond has to say. Don’t care about how the Heat players are defined. Dray is dropping hot takes for clicks. Don’t care. Don’t care.
Max Strus was in the fucking bubble. Who cares if they were undrafted 3 or 4 years ago? They have real nba minutes and game time now.
Ok, but look at it from Miami fan base perspective: this has got to be maybe the most unexpected playoff runs of all time. And they probably love that these guys were undrafted. Makes them even more likable. So I think, yeah, it’s fair to point out that these guys are undrafted and smoked our lottery picks
But why? It’s true.
I like it – it’s more impressive, and shows in how they play!
I am also undrafted and making a living like everybody else
