You can’t think of a worse situation that a coach has been thrown into?! Really? Biased.
He's not the one that didn't trade for Chris Kaman. He's not the one that didn't go after Sabonis. He's not the one that didn't go after Jakob Poeltl. This is what the Celtics haven't learned from the last decade. You can't win titles without big men that can rebound, score, and assist.
The five guys that were on the floor at the end of the night, earned the right to start game 4.
When homie threw the clipboard 📋 I knew it – because it was an effort thing and the players checked out more than he did
He's an excellent coach. and he was trying to take the bullet for a team that just ran into a buzzsaw and got their butt kicked! They should not even entertain the thought of firing him for doing his job! The sports 'journalists' need to get off this crap.
TWO VIDEOS??? Bill is down bad.
They need to move on from Joe. This isn’t the time for on the job training. He’s stubborn and unwilling to create an offensive or defensive plan (aside from just chucking 3’s). This is the most disappointing run I’ve seen by this team ever
It's CRAZY that earlier today I was comparing Tatum to clyde drexler when it comes to personality and how he effects the game. Then Bill compares the Celtics to those Portland teams, that's crazy. The funny thing is Tatum is Clyde Drexler and Jaylen is just like Clyde Drexler light lol. You can get to the finals with two Clyde's you not going to win tho, you need a Hakeem.
I couldn’t wait for the podcast after the loss
I'm so amazed by how good Bill is as a journalist, while knowing so little about actual basketball…😂😂
Please fire this bum before game 4. It will at least fire this team up.
Unfortunately time to move some furniture (as Charles Barkley says).
This team in its current state is at its peak. They’re not young Bill. It’s not like they’re rookies. The core has been together for six years.
Jordan took six only because of the Celtics and then the Pistons. This current Celtics team hasn’t face any team in the same universe as those teams.
Bird, Magic, Jordan, Shaq, Duncan, and Giannis’ teams all won the championship within six years. Heck, Magic won it all as a rookie and Bird won it all within two years.
THIS was the year for the Celtics to win a championship.
Unless you hire Phil Jackson from 1993, Pat Riley from 1987 or create a clone from Red Auerbach’s DNA, no coach that’s available is going to win a championship with this team. As talented as they are, they don’t have the heart to win.
Dude, you cannot have a glorified interim coach in charge of the freaking Boston Cetlics, it's a wrap.
I’m not sure Tatum is a 1. He’s a very good Robin. Brown is like Harrison Barnes was on the warriors and if you pay him a super max then your window slams shut.
I don't agree with Charles Barkley on a lot of things, but I've always thought that one of his own personal "rules" that he would never advocate firing someone is right. People like Simmons (and most of the media hotairheads are like that) casually saying that someone should lose their job, do they have any 2nd thoughts? I don't think Mazulla did a good job during the playoffs, but firing him basically means not giving him a second chance even though this is his first head coaching gig. The players (the same players from the last several with good additions such as Brogdon) definitely underperformed, probably more so than Mazulla. Mazulla has the excuse of being young and inexperienced, what are the players' excuses? Players are supposed to get better each year (until they peak and/or get too old), and Celtics have been the healthiest of all the remaining teams all year. So Jayson Butterfingers in the 4th quarter Tatum (yet these 2 dudes here focused on Brown "can't dribble") will get his $318mil supermax contract, and the coach gets fired for the team playing badly in the playoffs (even though they reached Conf Finals)?
ESPN giving the Celtics a 97% chance to win next year's championship
Mazzulla is a gym teacher, we need a coach
Ime couldn't keep it in his pants and just blew up the whole thing. What a disgrace. Just go knock one out and move on, you had to bang several women in the organization?!?!
I think firing Joe would be the most insane scapegoating. I don't think any coach is beating Spo when the Heat have fire in their eyes. He hasn't been great but he's made adjustments. That's more than Doc Rivers has ever done. The Heat are just a buzzsaw and inevitable. I think this is a matter of giving credit to the Heat rather than blaming people
Jalen looked like he had cerebral palsy on a couple of drives.
Not a Celts fan, but they need a rotation big. Al is dependable, but showing his age. Timelord shows flashes, but usually hurt. Grant varies too much, can be Draymond-lite for 1 game, disappears for the next week. The only consistent guys in the rotation are Brogdon and White. Danilo should be back next season, right? Might give 'em offensive consistency for 20mpg.
If they fire him, the Sixers should hire him.
Terrible situation? They are in the east finals…Bill says Taytum and Brown are so elite…they go down 0-3 and it’s end of the world. Take Boston and give it back to the Indians
They can't bring him back unless its an assistant , there are too many good coaches out now that they can sign.
I'm shocked bill doesn't bring up his complete lack of professionalism in the post game interviews. Dude has no answer for anything, just wierd passive aggressive player-like responses. I don't see a leader who handles adversity well.
It’s nothing sweater than sweeping the Celtics Let’s go Heat !
Joe needs to go
I love seeing Bill and Ryen cry internally 🤣🤣🤣
If the Boston Celtics gets swept by the Miami Heat, Joe Mazzulla is gone. Period.
Mazzulla trusted his players too much
Stevens best year wasn’t as good as Mazzulla’s rookie year coaching.
