So how does this work? What if we were to trade our 2 late first rounders? Then we’d have to take him at 7 or go back on our word? What if he gets injured in the next month? Or someone takes him in front of us? Is this like “dibs”?

It’s just a rumor and if it gets in the way of coming up with something greater we will do what we’d have to do I’d assume. There’s really no source to this, just seems like clickbait “we may know” isn’t very concrete.

I read this guy left the combine early, which means he did get a promise from some team in the first round.

Not bad, either him or Grant we should take a flier on for a PF with potential.

I see him as a Kendall Brown type guy who won’t see much play his first couple years though.

    Hmm

Sort of a longer Nwora with good catch and shoot, decent handles and some playmaking potential

Lack of verticality shows in his poor rim finishing. 3&D role player, can’t have too many of those

Taking a big swing at the end of the first round this year is a no brainer for a lot of reasons so this would be fine in my eyes.

I would not at all be mad about taking a flier on a high-upside guy if we’ve already used the 7th pick responsibly. I read about Klintman a while ago and he seems like a decent gamble. Wouldn’t be surprised if his stock rises between now and the draft, too.
