With the sixers out of the playoffs the mvp needs some help. Thoughts?

Why the hell are WE giving them picks in exchange for helping them out of an unwinnable position, given that Harden is leaving for nothing and they can’t sign new players due to their cap situation? I hate trade machine season.

edit: [This is more like what would have to happen.](https://i.imgur.com/ayEYP76.png) Sixers can’t trade picks through 2028. Wizards need to at least get a pick back even if the return isn’t great for Beal since they’re formally initiating a rebuild by trading him. Doing a rebuild without assets makes no sense. Sixers need to send assets out because their position, as I mentioned, **sucks** and they’re one bad move away from Embiid requesting a trade. They keep Paul Reed as a backup and get rid of Harris’ contract at the expense of trading Maxey. In exchange, they get a seasoned veteran player who is on Embiid’s timeline.

Sixers fan here. I don’t think we do this trade.

Beal in place of Tobi, Maxey and Reed is not a significant enough improvement for us to consider this to be locked to Beal’s contract. As it is we already have problems with contributions from our role players, this move exacerbates it. We don’t need more stars, we need better role players who can shoot so that our stars iso less. Additionally we expect Maxey to be the same level of player as Beal in a few years also and are looking to offer him a max extension.

Tobi’s probably useful to you as a max expiring, so that might be another angle that’s interesting for you if you want to do a consolidation move for your role players.

I’d love this trade especially if we can extend Maxey but I don’t see this happening.

Why would we ever do this trade? Makes absolutely no sense for us.
