Jokic got disgusted with the rhetoric and just stopped caring at all. Truth is whether Embiid or jokic got it, it would’ve been deserving.

But then again, he won as a sixth seed in the West. And then this year, I’m leading the league in scoring, I’m doing all of these things defensively … I should be making an All-Defensive team too. I don’t care, but every year it’s something. And when you add analytics into it, which don’t make sense. You can talk about analytics all you want. When you got some guys in the league, the eye test tells you that they’re not good defensively, but analytics tell you they’re the best defenders. That’s when analytics don’t make sense at all. I don’t make the rules, I don’t choose whatever criteria that they use, so it’s really about whatever people’s preferences are.”

Fuck social media discourse for having me hate what is an incredible player and by all accounts a good guy. No longer

I don’t really dislike Jokic, although I do like to do the classic homer bullshit. Is it really so wrong to be completely unobjective?

My opinion on Jokic “fans” however…

I don’t get the hatred towards Joker on this sub even before the playoff, he never cared about getting 3 mvp in a row and never said anything bad towards Joel, unless Joel towards him. I was thinking Joel is a better player before playoff and Joker proved wrong, simple as that.

The correct guys have the right amount of MVPs.

    Jokic should have 2.

    Embiid should have 1.

I still think Embiid should’ve won last year over this year but ultimately it’s whatever.

I think Embiid wins 2021 if he doesn’t nearly blow out his knee but again ultimately it’s whatever. I want Embiid to win titles not MVPs.

Here’s a reminder that social media is toxic and some people will do anything to hate. I can’t believe how toxic the MVP discussion was sometimes I swear

I don’t hate this guy I just hate his meat riders

Seems like a nice guy, I’ve only recently discovered how good he really is, how natural everything comes to him – it’s weird because he kind of looks flabby and out of shape, he shuffles his feet awkwardly – like a big excited kid. But he’s kind of a basketball genius that’s 7’ and plays mean and physical when needed.

Jokic is a good guy, I don’t hate him at all but I hate how the media puts Embiid against Jokic and how much the NBA fanbase meatrides him- up until these playoffs I never realized how good he was because I got caught up in the media stirring the narrative of Embiid vs Jokic when really we should all appreciate legendary basketball that is being played from the careers of Embiid and Jokic

Jokic could not care less about the MVP. He cares less than any Nuggets or Sixers fan.
