Is it that hard to just play hard? I don’t get it.
NYC is the home of crushing fan expectations and impatience.
Consistent hustle and a selfless team first attitude…and New York will love you. It’s really not that hard. Melo was almost that fucking awesome at scoring where he got the pass. But clearly Melo and Julius aren’t those guys, which is why a lot of New Yorkers don’t love them.
Funny that Julius had the best +- for us against the Heat while RJ had by far the worst but the fans are super happy with RJ against the Heat while hating Randle. Also we lost home court advantage in game 1 and guess what… that was the game Julius didn’t play. Interesting. But yeah yeah reply complaining about his effort.
That’s funny because I think a lot of Knicks fans think these people are some kind of robots and that this kinda criticism doesn’t get to them or something. The poor bastard Randle walked through the fire last year with the way the fans turned on him to the point that when they started chanting MVP for him earlier this season I told my son that Randle should tell them all to go fuck themselves.
Melo was a thick skinned player and it got to even him so you can imagine how hearing the negative talk must twist Randle’s brain up.
It’s the m.o. of a segment of knicks fans. They shit on ewing, then Houston, then melo, and now randle.
The Melo discourse got so bad with Melo that people bullied him into taking a pay cut in his prime lmaooo.
Imagine telling a top 10 player in todays NBA that he should get less than the max so the team can sign Lance Thomas
This is why I will never get on board with the Randle hate.
Yeah, cuz dude was supposed to bring us into title contention and only made the second round once in 7 years. The criticism was deserved. Shit, Brunson got us there his first year here.
To Julius’s defense…he actually plays… defense!
