  1. I had a dream last night we got the 3rd pick on draft night. Not happening but it was a nice dream

  2. If scoot is available at 3. Would you trade collins and kj ? Or let’s say it’s miller. Would you do the same? Another package could just be kj and picks.

  3. The Spurs should trade up as long as they get a quality, young, playmaking PG with high upside to pair alongside Victor Wembanyama.

Else, I'd say target a PG in the 2024 NBA Draft, or prioritize landing a top prospect in the 2024 NBA Draft who may not be a PG but fits well with Victor Wembanyama and then subsequently trade for a PG.

The vision is clear to me for the Spurs in this regard. Trading up as long as the price is reasonable makes sense because it is important for the Spurs to be patient and prioritize adding more youth at key positions going forward around Victor Wembanyama.

  4. There's a really great interview with amen Thompson and his brother where they go over their whole journey and how they got to where they are. They are both genuine humble, and HUNGRY to become good. I am super high on both of them. I truly believe scoot, amen, and ausar will be big stars. I have injury fears about webeyama and trying not to get my hopes up

  5. If Harden will come back to HOU, Amen will be likely available in picks 4-7 as those teams have their PG facilitators, or maybe not ORL at 6. But chances are SAS can get Amen giving out 2 1st and maybe KJ. If ever SAS trade out KJ, I wish they would try and get Coulibaly.. also if Amen is not available, either of Black, Wallace, Bufkin, Hood-Schifino can be great addition to Wemby.

  6. Reminder when hearing prospect X met with team Y at the combine: The NBA randomly assigns different prospects to different teams. GMs don’t just pick their favorite players to interview. – Jonathan Wasserman

  7. Unless we include Devin or Keldon I don’t see anybody surrendering thier top 5 pick to us

  8. I just wanted to say that giving up Keldon would be kind of fine imo.. but then I realized that he's just 23. I hope we stick to the guys we have.

  9. The best chance is Portland IF Charlotte takes Miller. And even then it would take the Dejounte deal plus Vassell. Amen won't slip past Houston

  10. Glad you brought this up. I’ve been talking about this since the draft. I think we can trade with Portland or Detroit (since apparently they hate life since they didn’t get the 1st 😢). Portland would be ideal and if we can land Amen or Scoot (since apparently he is being overlooked by B MIller since Charlotte has LaMelo) but actually Amen would be better because he would absolutely defer to Wemby and Scoot may want to take over the squad cause he has that dog in him. Portland would also be great because they would absolutely want to be competitive and our players deserve to be lost to either being traded to a situation where they are gettin paid or where they are playing for chips. I think Vassell and Collins would land us Portland pick. Win Win

  11. One dude to look out for is actually wemby’s teammate Bilal Coulibaly. He’s a long wing who can defend really well and has a lot of upside on offense.

  12. I would NOT trade any of our ATL picks. Once DeJounte bails on ATL (next Summer) they’re going to suck.

  13. I'm a little apprehensive to fully buy into the Thompson twins hype. Don't get me wrong the athleticism is INCREDIBLE but they were competing against very low level Overtime Elite compeition, whereas Anthony Black was competing against NCAA competition which to me is a little more pertinent to the transition to the NBA. But I'd be happy with both but like you said in the vid, we wouldn't have to give up nearly as much to get Black so he's my pick out of the 3 mentioned by you.

  14. Keldon Johnson and 3 1st Rd pick to Portland for the no 3 pick. Use that pick for Scoot or one of the Thompson twins.

  15. Jarace Walker could very well come out as the 2nd best player in this draft but if we do trade for a Top 5 Pick then we should go after Amen

  16. We need a pg whos a creative passer/ playmaker with defensive upsides. Its a bad idea to trade up , some of the pieces panned out and ready to compete next season .Spurs should explore international players as well rather than trading guyswho panned out.

  17. Asking price for picks 2-5 will probably have to be a gross overpay for Scoot or Amen because those teams know what assets we have. Like they’ll probably demand Four FRP picks and a player because they have leverage, and other suitors. It seems more likely we end up with Black at 6-8, or Cason Wallace at 8-12 in exchange for two FRPs and Doug McDermott.

I prefer Black over Wallace because he’s taller at 6’7, and very lanky. It’s the one PG type we don’t have on the roster right now, and would give us some flexibility to counter other teams’ lineups. And he can be taught to shoot over time.

I like Wallace too. He has a nice overall game, and he’s a tenacious defender. He could contribute more in year one than Black, but not as much in the long run.

  18. I very badly want to keep Keldon. he signed a team friendly extension and is clearly willing to sacrifice to win games
