You mean the sixers don’t want to outbid themselves? Shocking development.

  2. theducksmuggler363

Smart…I can’t remember what happened last time we had a FA that no one was bidding against us that we offered a MAX?

  3. Curious-roadrunner

Gotta hand it to bleacher report for picking a shot that perfectly captures how we all feel when faced with the prospect of being paid $30 million instead of $50 million.

A one year deal is really the only way I see him returning being somewhat a positive.

I don’t know who would agree with me but I’m ready to start molding Maxey into a SGA type of role.

Instead of talking to each other they’re just posturing through windy

And I’m “not really motivated” to care anymore

I am glad this worked out for the sixers, but seriously if you are player, don’t take a pay cuts in anticipation the team will reward you later, it’s the same thing for a normal person, don’t make sacrifices for a job in anticipation they’ll return the favor later, it’s a business, everyone is looking out for themselves and will screw you over if you allow them

I also hope the Sixers are not motivated to re-sign him at all for any amount of money.

All part of the Morey press initiative to not get busted for cheating last year after James gets a max deal this year.

  10. I would kill to know what “promise” was made to James to take unders on his last deal. Surely Morey didn’t go as far as offering him a future max.

Whatever it was, even if it was just a handshake deal, if we reneg it won’t bide well for future FA negotiations.

I’m not saying I want the team to max him, but Morey might have screwed the pooch here.

Leave. I dare you. Your legacy will be set in stone at that point.

Wow and Harden really doesn’t want to go back to Houston and participate in a rebuild surrounded by puppies?

And these Houston rumors have just been a ploy to get leverage in contract negotiations?

And all of this was obvious from the jump?

  13. SmellyCheeseDisease

Harden is a lifetime loser. He’s never won anything significant playing ball. I say sign and trade, there has to be another loser franchise that’ll accept his contract while giving up a potential winner.

Stfu with these posts let’s just see what happens. Why do we all go back and forth none of us have any control over the outcome of this. If he goes we are better off. Leave it at that.

I like how his agent is trying to leak “Houston” as some sort of leverage, and the fans are like “k, bye.”

He’s a 20 mil a year guy rn tops. Half the time he hurts more than he helps.

  17. puffz0r

I’d be as motivated to pay him as he was motivated to play good basketball in games 6 and 7

  18. Mysterious_Wayss

I still can’t believe how you all want another year of Embiid-Harden in the playoffs.

Great shoes, but please don’t sign him. He’s another Carmelo; he ain’t winning shit.
