I would like to turn Mobley into the only roller on the starting offense by trading Allen for a Brook Lopez type or smaller scale even like a Myles Turner or Al Horford type (a big that can shoot 3s & get rebounds) to pair with Mobley. Mobley can play center in todays NBA especially if you got a beefy center to be a solid backup for him like a Poetl type in case you play a team like the Knicks. Mobley last season looked just as good or better then Allen at matching up against guys like Embiid or Mitchell Robinson. Allen can’t really afford to not be a high energy guy like a Tristan Thompson or Varejao because he’s limited offensively…there’s a lot of guys that can dunk/catch lobs and protect the rim. Mobley is already better every aspect of center then Allen, but whether you keep Allen or not you need a backup beefy center like a Poetl type I wish we had gave up some 2nd round picks instead of the Raptors for a guy like that. We also need a high volume 3 point shooter at the SF position and like I said a big capable of shooting 3s to pair with Mobley in the starting lineup IMO. Mitchell & Garland would have so much more room for activities!
Allen shrunk alot of times during the season…. There are tons of games I watched where he shrunk many many times against the competition.. Like we keep yelling from the rafters, THE CAVS ALWAYS ARE SH** VERSUS TALL ATHLETIC ROSTERS. This is why the Cavs always lost to Toronto, Knicks, Kings, Bucks, Clippers and other teams in key games.
We have seen the cavs buckle to teams like this and the cavs dont make roster changes to compensate. And other teams know this about the cavs, so running this back is an idiots game.
