Yeah because ownership would rather die than fire a coach and owe him money lol

It makes sense. The owners gave Doc way more time than most teams would have. Most teams would have looked for someone else after the Hawks series.

Lopez is a UFA this summer, Middleton has a player option, Jrue is rumored to be retiring after his deal is up next season, and Giannis only has two years left. Now Jrue and Giannis both have player options they could extend to, and I doubt Lopez or Middleton go anywhere, but there is a lot up in the air over there.

I’m pretty confident Windy is Daryl’s mouthpiece

The bucks are gonna be as if not more financially fucked than we are, they’ve got some huge decisions to make and I understand why a coach may be wary of going there.

To be fair Bret wasn’t a bad coach, he just coddled and kissed Beniffer’s ass too much

You should have listened to the latest Bill Simmons podcast. He gleefully talks about all the coaching vacancies and then says, “Who would even want the Sixers job?” in the most condescending tone like we’re a bottom tier franchise.

Bontemps said something similar on ESPN right after Rivers was fired. Said he polled some people around the league and that it was basically unanimous that the Sixers’ job was the best one available.

They have the mvp signed up for a few more years. There are definitely worse situations to be in as a new coach

Need that clickbait….we all truthfully know the job is going to be hell and turmoil.
