[The Athletic] LeBron James played the last few months of the NBA season with a torn tendon in his foot that could require surgery, @ShamsCharania reports. “I fully expect him to play next season.” šŸŽ„ @PatMcAfeeShow

The last few months with a torn tendon? I am surprised he didn’t have it repaired during the season. Here is the link because I think I am supposed to provide it. Mods, I apologize if this is incorrect procedure.

I remember when it happened and he said ā€œit poppedā€ or something and I was sure he was done. Then he kept playing *that game*

    Bro is build different

The Lebron James of Feet coming back from his vacation in knick of time

Whatā€™s ADs excuse LeBron dropping 40 on a bum foot lol

Mike Malone is going to yell at us again about narrative and only talking about Lebron

  5. fallen_estarossa

Non-nephew fans who actually read the news already knew this a couple of months ago

it was torn, but tears also have grades of severity.

Dave McMenamin said Lebron said he would get an MRI to “see how the healing in the tendon is going”, so it likely wasnt a complete tear but still significant enough to warrant surgical advice.

if the healing is going well, would mean he might not even get surgery done.

unreal. guy’s pain tolerance must be other-worldly

Respect to Bron for taking us as far as he could.

    Jordan wouldnā€™t need surgery.

Suck it Denver Nuggets, no media coverage for you for the next week

This was pretty obvious watching him

Dude looked fucking awful (by lebron standards) not surprised at all but sheesh

  13. lets_talk_basketball

I mean.. didn’t he literally say he tore a tendon when he first came back, and that all the doctors except 1 told him to shut it down?

Foot surgery can be very tricky with no guarantee.

  15. souttous

James has essentially the Chet Holmgren injury but he played through it

  16. suhar97

    All Bron fans knew this

Go watch how he was moving in December / January versus the playoffs

It was night and day. He physically looked his best since the Solomon hill injury before this foot thing happened

  17. The Lebron James of Foot Doctors can never be my goat doctor. The Michael Jordan of foot doctors would not only identify the injury but also give a super treatment that would heel any player in under 4 hours cause he got that DAWG in them.

Big dog canā€™t retire before Iā€™ve seen him play live.

  19. wrldsteez

Lebron ainā€™t retiring until he gets the farewell tour too much money to be made

I assume he didnā€™t have it repaired during the season because, if he did, they wouldnā€™t make the playoffs. They had such a bad start. Theyā€™ve been playing playoff basketball for months just to stay in it

Its insane how he was still the best player on the floor in the last game.

Don’t let this distract you from the fact that the Nuggets played incredible basketball and swept LeBron and the Lakers to become conference champions and will now play in the NBA Finals.

  24. BaullahBaullah87

Wait this isnā€™t common knowledge? Everyone made fun of him (rightfully so) for the whole ā€œLebron James of feetā€ thing. But he was playing on a torn tendon nonetheless

  25. Electronic_Comb_3501

Don’t care. LeBron’s eliminated. Other teams still playing.
