Rui … I don’t know. I really like him and he’s the ONLY reason I’d even have to think about not getting Kyrie. But… i do feel he’s a little overrated at the moment. He was fine in the regular season, not great. He was great against Memphis. He barely played against Golden State. Then against Denver he was great the first 2 games but then the third game he was meh and lets be honest, he sucked in the 4th. A big reason Lakers lost. He shot 25% from the floor and scored 10 points in 40 minutes.
Dallas should push for a sign and trade Kyrie for Reeves + some filler. Reeves could be a better Brunson replacement with Luka.
Dave- you sound like you just gargled with pea gravel. I'm a huge fan of choosing FVV over Kyrie. Should be no question that Reaves and Rui are also brought back. Would love to see Schroder back as well.

To me it's either Kyrie or Reeves. Rui would be a lock to keep if im the Lakers. Rui is better than Reeves, he's a good defender, good shooter and he's 6'8. I'm giving up Reeves to go get Kyrie.
Lakers should get Alex Caruso back imagine him and AR at backcourt. If somehow they can snatch OG anunoby or Gary Trent 3&D. Or Jae Crowder. For a big maybe Naz Reid. Make Jokic defend the 3pt line. Thats one way yall can defeat anuggets nxt year
Lakers need to stay away from Kyrie because it's not worth the gamble. At this point in Kyrie's career, he's like a box of chocolates.
Kyrie takes to many games off. He was good in Cleveland but the Lakers need players that can score quick and defend. Any chance of the Lakers winning again with LeBron we dont need all star players. We need guys that can help the team win!

Enough with the free agent/trade machine in LA – it's not working!!! The Lakers should begin the rebuild NOW. Allow LeBron to retire/move on and trade AD for youth and picks. There is no one to build around (D'Angelo Russell would be the only legitimate starter) thanks to years of win-now mentality, roster mismanagement, and a revolving door of coaches.

Honestly, I think the Lakers should blow it up. I don't see them winning or contending for a championship with 30-year-old AD who's very inconsistent and injury-prone and 38-year-old LeBron, who's also injury-prone and nearing end of his career, regardless of what roster you put seound them. Also, they'll have to go through a lot of tough competition to do it, and I would take the field over them. Imo, this duo has gone as far as it can go at this point. Re-sign Reaves, Rui, and Walker, (sign-and-) trade everyone else for assets, and rebuild for the future. Their front office needs to be real.
AD needs to work on his game bottom line. Jokic’s play exposed holes in his game
If there is ANY progression in Rui's game this offseason… he's going to be a handful. And he is vital to keeping Bron fresh next season. Rui bangs down low on defense, drives to the hole with physicality, and shoots the midrange at a high level. All that equals less wear and tear on LeBron's body.
I'd keep Rui at nearly all costs… unless it meant drastically overpaying him.
Reaves is guaranteed to return. After the Caruso fiasco, management knows we riot if Austin walks. 😆

Austin Reeves will have a hot game every 3 or 4 games but thats about it. he really cant guard the better scoring wings in the league. Lakers need to move him as Lebron ages his defense gets worse, he doesnt need average defenders around him.

I'm almost hoping the Heat go all the way because they are a true team who rely on the sum of their parts. Yes they have Jimmy Buttler, but he's been around a long time without winning the big one. The Lakers in this post season were like a pick up team only assembled after mid season. The Nuggets looked destined, but their also a team that built chemistry over time with one Superstar in Jokic, some what like Butler. These two teams both made the buy a championship teams look subpar. I'd love to see the old school Templet of a team catch on again.
