I made two videos highlighting the shooting forms of incoming 1st round draft prospects. Who I think we should target for 17:

Hey fellas, I made two videos of projected first rounders (probably missed a few) with the goal of creating a synthesized version of observing players’ shooting forms – each player with one minute of footage shooting from different angles and areas on the court. I always am searching for something like this myself when scouting prospects for fun, but haven’t been able to come across any that’s all in one video.

Picks 1-15:

Picks 15-30:

Thoughts on who stood out to me after watching some tape (I know a guy like Lively is arguably the best fit and even BPA at 17 but this was just to focus on guards/forwards primarily):

Keyonte George – idk, love his form, kinda reminds me of Booker, but this is a likely pipe dream as he is projected lottery

Jalen Hood-Schifino – form kinda reminds me of Kyrie, can definitely handle a scoring load

More realistic for pick 17:

Kobe Bufkin – seems to be a scoring guard with a smooth touch

Brice Sensabaugh – bigger body and his form stood out

Dariq Whitehead – smooth, I think this guy has insane potential, shot a good consistent percentage from three at Duke

Jordan Hawkins – this dude is a total sniper, I’d be ecstatic to pick him up

Amari Bailey – scorer type from UCLA, not bad at all but probably too high for 17

Anyways, hope you enjoy the vids!

It’s likely George, Hood-Schifino, and Hawkins are gone by 17. George can get hot, but he hasn’t shown enough imo in other ways. How effective can he be if he’s not a volume shooter? Idk. Then again he might be so good he gets all those looks in the NBA too. Hood-Schifino I actually like a lot. A developing jumper, his actual strength is a terrific pick and roll feel. Hawkins would be an excellent pick and Beasley insurance.

Amari Bailey had a great showing at the combine and could sneak into the late 1st. More of a defensive guy but showed some other talents. Reminds me forcibly of Avery Bradley.

Sensabough has seen his stock drop lately as people see the film. He showed very little desire to defend in college. Projects as a bench scorer right now until/unless he can show more than scoring.

Whitehead had serious injury problems in college. If he gets healthy, sky is the limit. Super talented kid.

Bufkin I’ve had a hard read on. Reminds me of a better Jordan Clarkson.
