I was huge on going for Amen but after watching Cason Wallace for the past couple of days, I’m sold. Dude is gonna be really good. Like I was looking at a bigger Mike Conley Jr. although smaller Kawhi is a good description
I like Cason because he's good at playing off ball versus some of the other guards available in the draft. Smart defender with the ability to score seems like a perfect fit to me.
Cason Wallace is a complete lockdown defender. Pick up his brother Keaton too.

Yall need to trade any and everybody/picks to move up twice in the draft if possible. Nba2k style and rework the whole team around Wemby, maybe keep Vassell and Zach Collins, they fit well with Wemby.

I know Keyonte George isn’t a pure PG but he has played both PG & SG as a combo guard at times but would love for the Spurs to get either him or Wallace if they traded back up in the lottery.
I feel like any trade up we make is going to cost more than it should, just to cover the cost of the salt 😂

I don’t think we give Blake Wesley enough love tbh, we should just get Victor in the building and go from there no need to rush things in my opinion. We got our star, we got cap space and the picks to be able to wait

I like Cason too. But I'm also wondering how is he a big upgrade from Tre Jones? Tre shooting .361 from distance at Duke (1.3 3ptg made). Cason shooting .346 from distance (1.4 3ptg made). I'm sure he's and will be a better defender from Tre because he's stronger and maybe more skilled in that department but he's not much taller (6-4 vs. Tre's 6-3). At the end of the day, we need to ask ourselves, what kind of point guard do we need in a playoffs/ championship contending team that revolves around Wembanyama and Devin Vassell at the O end and Sochan and Wembanyama at the D end. (The same question we need to ask with regards to center). Is Tre Jones really not good enough? (I believe Tre is a back up PG in a contender). Then why would we bring in someone who's definitely not a 3pt shooter if we really despise Tre's shooting? (I know Cason's mid range game is better than Tre but Tre has better driving game and FT game). Q1: Is Cason a big upgrade or any different from Tre's game? Q2) Are any of these two a real starting PG on a contending team that builds around Wemby and Vassell? My short answer to Q2 is no. While I also care very much about 1 on 1 and pnr defense from our PG, I also care about their C&3 ability, especially if we give the ball to Wemby I want them to be able to shoot at least like Marcus Smart or Malcolm Brogdon. And I certainly wouldn't complain if they're able to shoot like Jamal Murray or Jrue Holiday.
If they do decide to move up I hope it’s worth it. We have so many protected Atlanta first rounders, I think there’s a good chance at least one of those years ago hey will be awful, we also have a top 6 protected pick next year via Charlotte, so we could get another chance at winning the lottery.
Cason Wallace is a Jrue Holiday 2.0 basically. A defensive PG who doesn't require a lot of
usages, a 3&D for the most part. I do think he is the most developed PG in the class,
80% complete already so he could contribute right away. There's one thing he still needs to
work on which is his on-ball offense.
The reason why he isn't top 10 in most mocks is because he is a floor player, his
ceiling isn't as high as others, the same reason Jrue was drafted at 17th, Cason might be
a little earlier tho. One of the reasons I like him is that he could fit into any roster
straight away, which will be a noticeable upgrade to our team immediately.

Coach Pop loves a physical "combo" guard who can guard multiple positions, and maybe Wallace can be that player for us. I also have hopes for Langford, but that is a different situation and position. Let's get back to playing SPURS "D"!! BTW: Tre is working hard and improving (slowly but surly) on his outside shooting. Anyway, Go Spurs!!
