If we draft LaMelo, Jordan Poole doesn’t become Jordan Poole.

And say what you want about him this season, JP was a pivotal piece to the championship in 2022.

Sam Vecenie redrafted Wiseman in the second round…

10th is so kind tbh no way he’s even top 20.

Disagree. This is on Kerr. They tried to turn Wiseman into Looney, focused on setting screens, passing, and rebounding. But that’s just not who he is right now. He needs to develop this skills, for sure, but he’s at his best when he is leading the offense.

Kerr should have given him 10 minutes a game and let him play his game. He would have been able to contribute now, gradually develop other skills, and be on a path to becoming a star.

Is Lamelo the one who possibly may never play again?

  5. WellThatWasCool

imo we should’ve traded back and taken Onyeka Okongwu

So many people in this sub said draft Ball, Hali, or Bane.

    Don’t blame Bob.

It’s been said wasn’t sold on Wiseman after seeing him in Oregon. I guess you can blame him for reportedly leaning towards trading the pick.

I have nightmares knowing we didn’t draft lamelo ball because they thought Jordan Poole was ready and didn’t need more gaurds🤣

Literally the night before klay tore his Achilles the plan was drafting lamelo 🤣🤣 then poof klay hurt

  9. TheRed_Knight

Lamelo would just be a taller Poole

Was the 2020 draft really that bad that wiseman still ends up in the top 10 in a re-draft ?

Trust in Bob. This draft was tough because of covid. My caveat at the time was I assumed that if they took Wiseman, they were convinced he could also switch on perimeter defense…otherwise Kerr would not (rightfully in my opinion) play him.

It’s not a shitty draft, but it’s not a good one

Wiseman was always Lacob’s pick though

No way he’s a lottery pick in a re-draft.. he’d barely make the first round

  14. I’d redraft Haliburton at #2. At least that kid puts in effort on both ends

  15. Obviously wiseman over Lamelo was a big miss and bob deserves that criticism. How big is hard to say. I’m not sure Lamelo and Kerr would have been a good fit, in fact I expect the opposite.

It’s hard to blame him not taking guys no one knew were going to be as good as they are, like Bane, or even Halliburton, who was mocked in the 5-15 range. That’s just not how drafting works in the top 5 for better or worse.

In a vacuum I wanted to trade back and take Deni or Halliburton. Not like Deni is a slam dunk, and I suspect that we did try and found few takers for trade ups since there was so much uncertainty at the top of the draft.

How the fuck is wiseman still picked 9? He is a lot closer to out of the league then he is even being an average bench player.

  17. MrNotSensitive

Lamelo can’t help either because he is always injured.
