Not worried about Scoot and Ball. Ball now has more reason to get in the weight room and bulk up like how Lonzo did. I think Scoot can help LaMelo with injuries too by just taking some plays away. Two playmakers like Scoot and LaMelo on the floor at the same time, and LaMelo being 6’7, just makes this a very dynamic guard duo.
His biggest weakness is his height. His skill relies on speed and athleticism. If he can facilitate and shoot like Trae Young, then i would take him. However, if you guys can name a 6'2 who dominates in the NBA by way of slicing and dunking and is successful most of the time, then let the Hornets take him and good luck. Players who are way taller get blocked in the NBA especially in the playoffs. Come to think of it, is he better than say, Dennis?

the biggest difference in my evaluations and locked on evaluations is my eye is on a deep playoff run and not regular season and if youre really evaluating winning talent in this league… knocking down shot after shot is the only way to a deep deep run
scoots biggest weakness will be setting his feet to shoot…. the problem is about 75% of nba players regress on shooting percentage… stating he will just improve because is not consistent w reality in nba.
walker scoot shot 27 percent and mkg shot 25 percent so its not really a stretch

Scoots 6’2 but if you watch him he looks a lot bigger. That frame at that age is nuts. That wing span and hand size with his athleticism makes me excited about him defensively as well. Scoot is HIM
Watching Walker *wait for Scoot to raise his shooting percentage and become a 3-level Scorer… vs Brandon who can damn-near score from anywhere on the court… is AMAAAZING!
My thing is why is no one talking about Scoot playing 2 years in the G league. He started playing in the league in 2021-2022 avg 14 points and from 2022-2023 he avg 17 points. He signed a 2 year contract with the G league. Nba is trying to push G league players.

I have went back to watched Brandon miller's games. I also watched his bad games to see his quality of shots.
miller struggles w post ups (weight) and lateral movements. every draft pick has weakness (except maybe lebron or mj) millers other perceived weakness is his off court stuff. weight and quickness will be an easy add to his game imo.
I love Scoots wingspan , his outside shooting is his biggest problem, he does at least have a mid-range if he has to shoot . id like to see a dunk contest with Scoot, Sharpe, Toppin and Anthony Edwards
Scoot turns the ball over the last 2 years in the G league. Miller shots a high percentage with his low shot if that is a concern but Scoot shot poorly for 2 years straight.
At 27 if he's still there i like Trayce Jackson-Davis
What if we did a Texans in the latest NFL draft and got the 2nd and 3rd pick? Use all of our draft capital, maybe sprinkle in some players like Terry or Kai to trade up to the 3rd spot in the draft. Then we draft both Scoot and Brandon! PERFECT

Think those of us pushing for ECF route are just thinking long term vs short term. Think if you aspire for high, you can reach greater heights.
You guys are really stretching the Brandon Miller negative narrative. You don’t have to speak badly on Brandon Miller because y’all are Scoot Henderson’s fanboys. Miller, 6’9 ceiling is much higher than an undersize 6’2 Scoot Henderson (poor shooting). Draft Brandon Miller at #2 and get a very serviceable backup PG at #27.
People say Miller has bust potential, but I think scoot does too. Miller has the premier skills in today's league which is positional size n skill and shooting. Guys like miller thrive in NBA space. I like the way scoot attacks the rim, but he's not an elite finisher yet by any means, has questionable defense, and is allergic to shooting 3s. Not to mention the second half of this season was underwhelming. Idk man I just think brandon miller has more room to grow than scoot.
Caleb Martin huge explosion occurred because of opportunity on the court. Hornets is very stubborn with playing young players due to overvalued/overcompensated/underperforming veteran players. Even having a losing record, it to 10 or so remaining games to find minutes for young players that need to be playing at the NBA level not just in the G-League. What good is it to brag about a developmental program that hasn’t produced consistent contributing player?
