[Slater] Warriors actually had a pre-draft workout while Myers & Lacob were doing their press conference. Included Jaime Jaquez Jr, the UCLA wing who is an option for them with the 19th pick. Larry Harris, their long-time leader of college scouting, & Mike Dunleavy Jr, ran it

Fuck yes. I needed some indication that Jaquez was on their radar.

Maybe this is our guy if we were keeping it low key

Still think we should draft a big or a wing but I can’t be mad if we draft Jaquez. He was always one of my favorite players from UCLA.

i have no idea anymore but my guess is JJJ can steal minutes right away

I will be disappointed if we use our 19th pick on him. He’s second round talent.

#If I had to select a player in this class to be an emergency starter in a high leverage playoff game. The ONLY answer is Jaime Jaquez Jr.

Fearless amd fierce competitor. Highest intangibles grade in the draft. Cristian Braun was the only dude on his level last year in terms of cajones factor. One of the most developed and crafty players in this draft. Has been three years running spiritually the most Warriors appropriate player in college basketball. Underrated athleticism. Somehow for 4 years straight he’s always been considered the least talented/gifted Bruin and every year he’s leading them into the final four.

Jaime Jaquez Jr and Colby Jones will be in an NBA rotation by January… where? Who knows but bank on it.

One of the Highest BBIQ wing help defender imo in college (Andre Jackson is up there too) tenacious competitor abd doer of winning things. You actually have to slow down the tape to see him making secondary reads and doing way beyond textbook team defense shit in help and switches. Not a dominant defender on ball but tough and smart. His college career mirror Draymonds… his pre-draft scouting report mirrors Jimmy Butlers. He has a footwork and fake package that is so developed folks are calling him Jaime Butler. Does everything well. So good Sam Vecenie says his late clock spacemaking footwork is “high level nba shit”. He isn’t a knockdown shooter but neither was Jimmy. He isn’t an elite athlete but neither was Jimmy. Does a ton of winning stuff every second he’s on the court. Generic scouts will say “not a first round talent” bit he’s 1000% a first round hooper and a real MFer out there. Lute Olsen Player of the year.

I don’t think it’ll happen bit I’d love if it did even at 19. Winner. Tough. Smart. Competitive. Clutch. Always the dude in big moments. When he is on the floor your team is better. If you watched the Bruins play in the tournament odds are you asked “who the fuck is Jaime Jaquez Jr?” and spent the entire second half finding out… winner. Will he be a Warrior?

    They’re taking a size guy that’s all I know.

Bilal please. I’ll be so sad if he’s available and we pass on him. Obvious nba role player.

C’mon guys. Trade that pick. Can’t take on any more projects right now. PBJ and Rollins are practically still rookies next year. Kuminga got no playing time in the playoffs. And Moody got little playing time in the regular season the last 2 years.

Give me Jaquez. Get me all the wings

For the 2nd time in a few weeks, as a UCLA alum and Warrior fan, I whole-heartedly approve this!!!!!!!!!!
