My first NBA game. I was a broke Americorps volunteer living in Denver. My dad splurged for the nice tickets, usually he pinched pennies. Even bought me and my brother some merch. He passed away exactly one month later due to complications from chemo. I live in Iowa now but always a Nuggets fan.

I grew up in central Iowa during the Bulls and Jordan era but never felt affiliated to any team until the Nuggets. Not many Nuggets fans here but itās fun to see others constantly surprised by how good the team is.
